Nisshoku Natsuko is known as a singer-songwriter who accompanies herself on piano.

Her appeal lies in a worldview that, while grounded in lyrics that feel like slices of everyday life, also carries a touch of Ghibli-like fantasy in its melodies.

Among her works, the one I especially recommend is “vip?”.

It’s a very languid piece with a fairly narrow vocal range; although there are many long tones in the vocal line, the pitch movement itself is gently contoured.

It’s basically an easy song, but the voltage rises a bit in the C section, so be sure to carefully determine the appropriate key.

Right now, one of the most active VTubers in the music scene is Suisei Hoshimachi.

She’s a vocalist who needs no introduction as a representative of hololive.

Her songs are typically known for their smooth, high-speed switches between falsetto and chest voice, but Caramel Pain is different.

There is some falsetto, but it only appears at key moments, and there are no phrases that rapidly alternate between chest voice and falsetto.

On top of that, the chorus sits in a fairly narrow range, so even those who can’t sustain high notes continuously should be able to sing it without any trouble.

Love and stuff like that.riria.

Singer-songwriter Riria has gained popularity with catchy melodies and vocals, along with bittersweet lyrics that capture a teenage girl’s feelings of first love.

Because many of her songs sit in a higher register, some women may shy away from singing them.

That’s why I recommend her song “Aitoka.” The chorus does include falsetto, but because the pitch rises stepwise like a staircase, it’s surprisingly not very difficult.

The other sections stay in the low–mid to mid range, so even women who struggle with high notes will likely find it easy to sing—as long as they can produce falsetto.

jewelhanayoi

Noshi is a female singer-songwriter who has gained popularity for her genreless musicality that incorporates a wide range of music styles.

She always energizes the scene with unconventional tracks, and her new song “Pink Punch” has also drawn attention for its eccentricity.

It features a slightly funky track, while the vocal lines come together with a vibe reminiscent of rock and Chinese pop.

With almost no sustained long notes and no demanding vocal techniques required, it’s a very easy song to sing.

Akari Nanawo is a pop singer who has risen to prominence in recent years.

She’s especially popular among teenage girls, winning fans with her catchy lyrics and bright, pop vocals.

Among her works, the one I particularly recommend is “Ashita no Watashi ni Sachi Are” (Best Wishes to Tomorrow’s Me).

The chorus includes a brief, noticeably higher passage, but it stays within chest voice range, so as long as you can track the pitch accurately, it shouldn’t pose a challenge.

Definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.

Meg Ousaka, the TikToker who gained nationwide popularity with “I’m mad at pre-sliced butter!”, is now active as a singer-songwriter and has a passionate following among some listeners.

Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is “72-Point Etcetera.” Because it’s arranged with a slightly fast tempo and a bright tone, it’s easy to overlook, but the vocal range required is actually quite narrow, so people of virtually any voice type can sing it without trouble.

The vocal lines also have few phrases that demand vibrato or long sustained notes, making it unquestionably a beginner-friendly track.

I’m your girlfriend starting today.Yumcha

An enigmatic singer-songwriter, Yumcha.

With a voice that sounds like a teenage girl and a cute, upbeat style, she’s been winning a lot of fans.

Among Yumcha’s songs, the one I especially recommend is “From Today, I’m Your Girlfriend.” Because of its high energy, you might think it requires a wide upper range, but the overall range isn’t that broad, so as long as you set the key properly, you should be able to sing it without issue.

The vocal line does have a fair number of words, but there are plenty of rests built in, so there’s no need to worry about not having time to catch your breath.
