[2026] Perfect for teen boys: Songs that tend to score high at karaoke

Compared to songs from a while back, many popular J-pop tracks from the late Heisei to Reiwa era have complex structures and melodies.

A lot of teens may feel, “I want to score high at karaoke, but it’s hard…” Of course, what’s easy to sing varies from person to person, but this time we’ve curated a list of relatively easy-to-sing songs that tend to score well at karaoke, aimed at teenage boys.

We’ve selected popular numbers centered on hits from the Reiwa period, while also including a few slightly nostalgic tracks, so they’re all great for getting the energy up at karaoke.

We’ve also included songs that are approachable even for those who aren’t confident singers, so be sure to check them out.

In addition to his work as a comedian, Akiyama of Robert showcases his musical talent through comic songs and more.

He already has a few hit tunes like “TOKAKUKA,” but lately it’s “SAY KOU SHOW” that’s been especially popular.

This track boldly and unabashedly puts dirty jokes front and center, and is characterized by a groovy yet repetitive vocal line.

The vocal range is narrow as well, making it a perfect song for aiming at a high score.

Snow Man is a group that energizes the contemporary boy group scene.

Their performances rival K-pop in quality and appeal, and they have produced numerous hit songs to date.

Among their tracks, the one I particularly recommend is We’ll go together.

While it features somewhat prominent higher notes, the overall vocal range is relatively narrow, and it doesn’t include complex vocals with lots of ad-libs or falls.

This makes it an approachable song even for teenage boys whose voices may still be unstable.

Dannie May is a three-member vocal unit popular among young people.

While recent vocal units often lean toward stylish, K-pop-influenced sounds, they focus primarily on orthodox J-pop.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is “FUNKY MUSIC!!”.

There’s a falsetto section in the middle, but otherwise it stays in the mid-range with relatively little variation in the vocal line, making it a song where you can definitely aim for a high score.

Singer-songwriter Garari has been steadily gaining momentum since his debut.

He’s known for dramatically changing his musical style from song to song and has produced numerous classics.

Among his tracks, the one I especially recommend is “On a Boring Night.” Its musicality is akin to Sakanaction, featuring a smooth, relatively even vocal line.

While the energy rises slightly during the rap section in the middle, the rest of the vocals are very monotone, making it perfect for aiming at a high score.

I want to love you super muchneguse.

Neguse is a four-piece rock band with an emo sound that’s popular among young people—if you’re a teen guy who follows Japanese rock, you’ve probably heard of them.

Their track “Super Aishitai” is one of their signature songs, characterized by a soft, youth-evoking tone.

While it’s fairly bright and features a distinctly rock-like riff that bursts through, the vocal line is surprisingly calm and the range is quite compact.

Even teenage boys who find it hard to sing due to voice changes can handle it comfortably, so consider adding it to your repertoire.

[2026] Perfect for teenage boys: Karaoke songs that are easy to score high on (41–50)

This song was chosen as the 2025 theme for Fuji TV’s “Mezamashi TV,” and it’s the kind of track that flips your motivation switch on from the morning.

SUPER BEAVER’s songs don’t really have the image of being “super high,” and the range of “Shujinkō” this time is mainly mid-range at D#3–G#4, so I think many men can sing it mostly in chest voice.

Since there’s no intro, be careful not to miss the karaoke guide tone before the vocals come in.

Also, because it’s a band song, if you stay aware of the drums overall and let your body ride the groove as you sing, it’s easier to keep time and lock into the melody, which should help your voice come out more easily.

The song starts with the chorus, and for the choruses throughout the track, make sure to confidently bring that very first consonant forward without hesitation.

For the long tones, keep your eyes on the pitch bar all the way to the end!

illustrated reference bookSEKAI NO OWARI

SEKAI NO OWARI often gives the impression of having many high-pitched songs, but “Zukan,” set for release in July 2025, doesn’t feature those strained high notes and has little range fluctuation, so it seems very suitable for scoring—you might even aim for a perfect 100.

Also, the melody is structured with just verse A, verse B, and the chorus, with no new section like a bridge, so it should be easy to memorize.

Overall, the vocal range, rhythm, and melody are clearly organized, so you can sing it comfortably without needing special techniques.

To aim for a high score, the first priority is matching pitch, so try singing lightly with the image of raising your facial muscles and eyebrows overall and projecting your voice from in front of your eyebrows.

Vocalist Fukase also tends to keep his eyebrows raised, so use that as a reference!
