Karaoke songs that are easy for teenage boys to sing: selections from popular artists

You got invited to karaoke, but your voice is low and there aren’t any songs you can sing well…

There are probably more teenage guys with this concern than you’d think.

It’s uncomfortable watching time pass while everyone else is having fun and you’re the only one who can’t grab the mic, right? But don’t worry.

There are actually plenty of songs you can sing comfortably even with a low voice.

In this article, we’ve carefully selected tracks you can enjoy singing without a wide vocal range.

Many of them are easy to try even if you’re not confident in your singing, so be sure to check them out before your next karaoke outing!

Dai Hirai’s new song “Summer Princess.” This work is wrapped in his signature fresh yet gentle melody.

The vocal range isn’t exactly narrow, but it isn’t particularly wide either.

There’s one part in the chorus where falsetto comes in, but it’s set at a height where your voice will naturally flip into falsetto, so it’s not that difficult.

If it still feels hard, try lowering the key by one and boldly sing it in chest voice.

The WalkLIL LEAGUE

LIL LEAGUE is a boys group under LDH JAPAN.

These days, LDH as a whole releases songs that are K-pop-like, and among them, LIL LEAGUE especially embodies strong K-pop characteristics.

Among their tracks, the one I particularly recommend is The Walk.

Because it has a K-pop style, it might feel challenging, but surprisingly the vocal range is modest.

It’s not exactly a calm song, but there aren’t difficult parts where you have to switch between falsetto and chest voice, so definitely give it a try.

Marcy is a three-piece rock band expanding their fanbase with emotionally charged love songs woven with a clear, translucent vocal tone.

Their track “Miraizu,” released in advance from their first album Memory, has garnered high praise not only in Japan but also from listeners overseas.

The melody is relaxed with no large interval leaps, making it easy to sing, but be careful not to fall behind because the verse (A-melody) has a complex rhythmic pattern.

It’s a pop tune with a straightforward message of love that resonates in the heart and feels great to sing at karaoke.

GO!!!FLOW

GO!!!FLOW

When you go to karaoke with friends, you want to get pumped up and have everyone get excited together, right? In times like that, I recommend FLOW’s “GO!!!”.

It was also used as the opening theme for the anime Naruto.

Its bright tone and bouncy rhythm will lift your spirits as you listen.

Try splitting the rap parts and singing it as a male duet.

If you can pull it off cleanly, it looks super cool.

For the final chorus, focus on the interplay between the lead and the rap as you sing.

dreamGReeeeN

This is a song by GReeeeN, a rare music group whose members all work as dentists.

It was released in 2016 as their 26th single.

It’s a motivational song that expresses a positive spirit of moving toward your dreams.

With its slower tempo, it’s easy to sing while carefully listening to the melody.

It gained attention as the theme song for the “Caritas Shūkatsu” commercial.
