Chiharu Kuroki is an enka singer from Saito City in Miyazaki Prefecture.
She performs as part of the sister duo Kuroki Sisters.
It seems she studied Japanese dance from a young age, and she took third place in the Kyushu Junior Folk Song Competition.
Her older sister, Mika, was inspired by this and went on to win several folk song competitions.
Chiharu later worked as a model, but in 2010 she debuted as part of the Kuroki Sisters.
One of her biggest attractions is her stable vocal ability.
Both members of the Kuroki Sisters have impressive backgrounds, and their harmonies are breathtaking.
Out of a longing for human companionship…Ami Nakazato

Ami Nakazato is an enka singer from Shinagawa, Tokyo.
With a photographer father and a mother who is a Japanese classical dancer, she grew up immersed in the arts from an early age.
Discovered in Harajuku in 2001, she began her career as an actress and also performed as a member of the underground idol group Chō Bakuretsu Ranman Musume.
She later set her sights on becoming a singer and made her major-label debut in 2012 with “Hitori Shikokuroji” on Nippon Crown.
Her greatest appeal lies in her beautiful vocal timbre—sensual and feminine—combined with strong singing technique that makes every song a captivating listen.
Dream-foretelling birdFujii Kaori

Enka singer Kaori Fujii, from Nakano Ward in Tokyo.
From a young age, she admired Namie Amuro and SPEED, and starting in second grade she devoted herself to dance lessons and vocal training.
She later enrolled at Toho Gakuen High School (Specialized Training), which allows students to engage in show-business activities, and during high school she worked as a reader model for magazines such as egg.
After stints as an idol and a guide vocalist, she made a late-blooming debut as an enka singer in 2018.
Her appeal lies in performances that are a feast for the eyes as well: her shows mix kayōkyoku and dance, and together with her beautiful looks, they offer enjoyment for both the ears and the eyes.

Yuko Koshikawa is an enka singer from Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture.
In fourth grade, she won the Yūkyūzan Cherry Blossom Kids Singing Contest by performing “Osaka Suzume.” She later appeared on NHK Nodo Jiman and NHK’s “Oi, Japan! Today We’re All About Niigata.” She debuted in 2012 under the name Yuu Asahina with the song “Echigo Sakura.” In 2019, she changed her stage name to Yuko Koshikawa (using different characters), and since 2021 she has been performing as Yuko Koshikawa (current name).
Her standout appeal lies in her exceptional vocal ability—as her career attests, she possesses strong singing skills and delivers consistently stable performances in live shows.

Ai Nishida is an enka singer from Aira City, Kagoshima Prefecture, who is also active as an illustrator.
Many enka singers are “elites” with a track record in competitions from a young age, but she is different.
She originally admired idols and sang pop music.
It was composer Masaaki Hirao who told her she’d be better suited to singing kayōkyoku, which led her to enka.
Her charm lies in her low voice—a sultry tone that evokes the likes of Akina Nakamori and Momoe Yamaguchi.

Miya Tooi is an enka singer from Yūki City in Ibaraki Prefecture.
She began singing folk songs at the age of four, and in her senior year of high school she won the national youth folk song competition with Isobushi.
Since then, under the tutelage of composer Kaoruto Sakaki, she has steadily built her career as an enka singer.
Her biggest charm is, above all, her sweet, cute vocal timbre.
As her background suggests, she has excellent vocal technique, and she also shines with expressive power that brings smiles to listeners’ faces.
She’s a must-listen for anyone who loves uplifting, feel-good enka.
Ashikaze PassMori Konomi

Konomi Mori is an enka singer from Sapporo, Hokkaido, and she’s also well-known as the wife of sumo wrestler Akira Takayasu.
She began singing Hokkaido folk songs such as Esashi Oiwake at the age of four, later becoming the youngest-ever winner of the Junior Division at the National Esashi Oiwake Competition when she was in sixth grade.
She made her debut in 2013 with Shamisen Wataridori.
Her greatest appeal is, above all, her expressiveness.
