Famous and popular songs by Tsuru

Let me introduce the songs of Tsuru, the ambassadors of excitement and bittersweetness.

When they first formed, they performed dressed in 1970s fashion: Afro hairstyles, boldly patterned shirts dubbed “kimo shirts,” and boot-cut pants.

The members are classmates from Tsurugashima Nishi Junior High School in Saitama Prefecture, and they took their band name, Tsuru, from the school’s name.

They’re a band that continues to deliver passionate, positive messages.

Tsuruno’s classic and popular songs (11–20)

Rolling Stonetsuru

“Like a rolling stone” is a commonly used expression, often used to describe someone who keeps traveling freely without being tied down by anything.

From this song too, you can feel a positive message—something like “tomorrow has its own wind,” meaning that life has its ups and downs, but things will work out somehow.

Even if it’s small, the world is changing.tsuru

It’s a refreshing song with a pleasant, upbeat rhythm that feels like taking lively steps forward.

It focuses on small-scale changes in the world.

Even if we can’t see major shifts, it’s a piece that makes you think about how everyday small actions and small changes accumulate to shape the world.

Lettertsuru

Crane – Letter (Live at Shangri-la)
Lettertsuru

Feelings like one’s true thoughts or gratitude can be hard to put into words because of embarrassment.

This song is composed of lyrics about turning those unspoken, long-accumulated feelings—left unsaid as time simply passed—into a letter to finally convey them to you.

Can’t Dance to Fevertsuru

Truly a dance tune! As you can tell from the title, the lyrics even slip in a few puns, so it’s got some laughs too—one of Tsuruno’s recommended tracks.

It’s not just bright and upbeat; the slightly bittersweet lyrics make it relatable.

Above all, the vocals are incredible!

Highway My Waytsuru

[King of Conte] Tsuru - Highway My Way
Highway My Waytsuru

Tsuru’s 2010 release “Highway My Way.” It was also used in a commercial for King of Conte.

True to Tsuru’s style, it’s an upbeat, exhilarating track that’s sure to be the perfect companion song to make your trip more enjoyable.
