Guaranteed to Get the Crowd Going! Easy-to-Sing Japanese K-POP Songs for Karaoke (21–30)

WA DA DAKep1er

Kep1er – WA DA DA (Japanese ver.) / THE FIRST TAKE
WA DA DAKep1er

A seven-member girls’ group, Kep1er.

They were originally formed as a project group active for only two and a half years, but due to their overwhelming popularity, they are still active today.

Their hit number “WA DA DA” is a prime example.

Released in 2022, it spans a slightly wide vocal range of mid1 F# to hi D#, but since the pitch movement is relatively gentle, it’s overall an easy song to sing.

It’s got an excellent groove, so be sure to add it to your repertoire.

FIESTAIZ*ONE

[FULL] FIESTA (Japanese Ver.) / IZ*ONE [Japanese Lyrics]
FIESTAIZ*ONE

IZ*ONE is a 12-member girl group formed jointly by Japan and South Korea.

Their hallmark is a glamorous musical style, and they’ve produced a string of hits with catchy melodies.

Among their works, the one I especially recommend is FIESTA.

It leans slightly toward synth-pop, and while the chorus has somewhat pronounced pitch jumps, the A and B sections are quite straightforward.

If you adjust the key around the chorus, it’s definitely a song that’s easy to sing.

MY TREASURETREASURE

TREASURE – MY TREASURE (Japanese Ver.) M/V
MY TREASURETREASURE

TREASURE is a 10-member boy group from YG.

While K-pop idols often lean heavily toward R&B and hip-hop, they incorporate those elements yet tend more toward electropop.

Their hit number “MY TREASURE” exemplifies this.

Positioned between hip-hop and R&B, it features a somewhat ennui-tinged vocal line.

In practice, there aren’t many parts that require extensive use of mixed voice; as long as you can sing up to the mid-to-high range, the vocal line is sufficiently achievable.

LATATA(G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE – 「LATATA」(Japanese ver.) MUSIC VIDEO
LATATA(G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE is a girl group known for its strong self-produced style.

It’s pronounced “jee idol.” Their track LATATA, released in 2018, features a somewhat Latin-influenced rhythm.

The pitch movement in the hook is relatively gentle, and most of the low-register sections are rap parts, so the range may feel narrower than the actual vocal range.

If you want a song that combines coolness with an infectious groove to hype up a karaoke session, be sure to add this one to your repertoire.

DolphinOH MY GIRL

OH MY GIRL「Dolphin Japanese ver.」Special Clip
DolphinOH MY GIRL

OH MY GIRL is a six-member idol group formed in 2015.

Their music is rooted in orthodox K-pop, and they’ve gained popularity for their quintessential idol appeal.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is Dolphin.

It has a slightly tropical house vibe, featuring a smooth, level vocal line without dramatic peaks.

The mixed-voice section right before the chorus can be a tricky spot, but since it doesn’t require belting, anyone should be able to sing it if they adjust to a suitable key.

Pretty SavageBLACKPINK

BLACKPINK is a girl group that could be called the flagship of YG.

While retaining an idol-like appeal, they place importance on a gritty image, and their stylish musicality is highly regarded not only in Korea but also in Japan and the English-speaking world.

Their 2020 release, Pretty Savage, embodies this approach.

The track has a strong hip-hop character, with the vocal lines unfolding as an extension of rap flow throughout.

As a result, the range is narrow and there are no complex melodic leaps, so once you’re comfortable with rapping, it’s relatively easy to sing.

CASE 143Stray Kids

Stray Kids – CASE 143 -Japanese ver.- / THE FIRST TAKE
CASE 143Stray Kids

Stray Kids is a boys’ group that’s rapidly gaining momentum.

In Japan, they’re affectionately known as “Sukizu” and loved by many female fans.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend for its singability and crowd-pleasing energy is CASE 143, released in 2022.

While the overall vocal range is quite wide—low G# to high F#—the low notes appear in the rap parts and the high notes only show up in the final chorus, so the basic range isn’t that broad.

The high notes also come after clear rests, so you can prepare and hit them comfortably.

If you’re still unsure, you can sing the high parts an octave lower.
