Exploding Brain Girlreruriri

The song “Noisy Girl Exploding Brain” is characterized by its rapidly shifting composition and speedy melody line.
It’s a hit that defined an era in the Vocaloid scene on Niconico—truly a track that makes you want to say, “This is Vocaloid.” Starting in 2013, “Noisy Girl Exploding Brain” was novelized, written by Erika Yoshida, who also works on scripts for dramas and anime.
The series comprises six works released over about a year and a half.

Six Trillion Years and an Overnight Storykemu

Doesn’t the powerful mixture rock sound pierce deep into your heart? Six Trillion Years and Overnight Story by the Vocaloid producer kemu is a track released in 2012.
It’s characterized by its energetic tempo and lyrics that reveal a heartrending story.
The novel adaptation by Hironaga Nishimoto was published in 2015, faithfully capturing the song’s worldview.
I won’t go into detail to avoid spoilers, but if you’ve ever analyzed the lyrics, you might be able to check your answers.
Romeo and Cinderelladoriko

A masterpiece that colored the early Vocaloid scene, “Romeo and Cinderella.” Its lyrics, devoted to love and brimming with a maiden’s heart, have gripped countless listeners.
The dynamic sound driven by soaring strings is another big draw of the track.
The novelization, written by Hironaka Nishimoto—also known for “First Love Season”—was released in 2016.
It’s a coming-of-age love story centered on Miku, a high school student.

Cowardly Mont BlancDECO*27

DECO*27, who has produced numerous hit songs such as “Vampire” and “Salamander,” is a prominent artist.
Released in 2010, “Weakling Mont Blanc” is one of his signature tracks, earning support for its mid-tempo mixture rock sound and lyrics that candidly lay bare one’s “weakness.” The novel adaptation was published in two volumes in 2016, written by Sanagi Sakuragawa, also known for “Meeting at Koi-Goromo Shrine.” The story follows Tsugumi, a protagonist who loses her memory in an accident and desperately searches for the truth about what happened to her.
Vision Test —The Path I Have Walked—40mP

The acoustic guitar, mallets, and piano tones linger in your ears.
The poignant Vocaloid song “Shiryokukensa.” Composed by 40mP, it was released in 2011.
Its novel adaptation, “Shiryokukensa — The Path I’ve Walked —,” came out in 2015, depicting the high school life of the protagonist, Shohei Suzuki.
Since it serves as a prequel to the manga version, you might enjoy it even more if you read that first.
Incidentally, the author, Shano, is 40mP’s wife.
The Schoolgirl Detective and the Eccentric Author — The Night Before the Antiquarian Mansion Murder Case —particles (te-ni-wo-ha)

This novel was written by Teniwoha, a Vocaloid producer also known for the hit song “Villain.” Based on the “Schoolgirl Detective Series,” a collection of works that developed from the 2012 track “The Antiquarian’s Manor Murder Case,” it was published in 2013.
It’s a mystery light novel in which high school student Hibari Hanamoto encounters cases that are solved by the writer Renma Kudo.
A manga adaptation was released in 2016.

An upbeat love song, “Ai×Ai Whistle,” crafted by PolyphonicBranch—aka Porifo.
It’s a cheerful duet with lively sound arrangement and high-energy melodies that will put a smile on your face.
The same song was adapted into a novel in 2015, authored by Risa Ishikura, who also worked on titles such as “Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Love Trouble Travel!?” The story is a school romance centered on the protagonist, Hitsuji, who obtains a mysterious whistle that makes the person they like come on to them.
