The funk-disco group Jackson Sisters.
It seems many people in the U.S.
mistakenly thought they were related to the Jackson 5, but they have no blood relation.
They debuted in 1973 and disbanded in 1977.
Only this single became a minor hit.
Goodnight TonightPaul McCartney & Wings
For a time, Paul McCartney was quick to pick up on trends and even rode the disco wave.
He released Goodnight Tonight, which became a hit, reaching No.
5 on the Billboard chart.
The 12-inch version, which was popular then, also got frequent radio airplay.
I’m Happy Just To Dance With YouThe Beatles
A track included on A Hard Day’s Night.
It’s sung by George Harrison, but written by Lennon–McCartney; in effect, it’s John’s song.
Although it was a B-side single, it still charted on Billboard.
Dancing QueenABBA
ABBA, the legendary supergroup.
They were popular in Europe and Australia, but it was this 1976 release, “Dancing Queen,” that propelled them to global fame.
