JubileeBlur

A track from their masterpiece album Parklife, released in the mid-’90s at the height of Britpop.
While they usually favor relatively idiosyncratic songs, this one delivers the most straightforward rock, yet their knack for quirks shines through in key moments with the insertion of a horn section and the sound of a toy ray gun.
Without LoveBon Jovi

A song packed with an ’80s vibe from Slippery When Wet, which cemented their popularity.
The original album cover features a simple design with the title traced by Jon’s finger on a wet garbage can, but the Japanese version was changed to a close-up image of a woman’s chest wearing a yellow T-shirt.

Give Her A GunEchobelly

A song from the 1994 debut album “Everybody’s Got One” by the band that shot to fame after Morrissey said he liked them.
Its breezy guitar pop shows the influence of The Smiths and is a pleasure to listen to.
A multiracial lineup was rare at the time, but as Britpop came to an end, the band also faded from the forefront.
VaselineElastica

The final track on their debut album “Elastica,” released in ’95.
Its brevity—just 1 minute and 24 seconds—is refreshingly bold.
Justine, the vocalist and a former member of Suede, was well known at the time for dating Blur’s Damon Albarn.
Although the band had many compelling singles, their popularity gradually declined after the album’s release.
Anything GoesGuns N’ Roses

Included on the 1987 major-label debut album, Appetite for Destruction.
You can fully appreciate original drummer Steven Adler’s exquisite swing.

After leaving the band in the mid-’90s, he returned in 2016 for the first time in 23 years, together with Duff.
Good Things Fall ApartILLENIUM, Jon Bellion

It’s a collaborative song by American music producer ILLENIUM and rapper Jon Bellion.
It was released digitally in 2019.
The build-up toward the chorus is exhilarating.
The lyrics express an almost scary level of feelings for someone you love, yet with a sense of sadness.
It’s easy to listen to, while also feeling grand and expansive.
Rockin’ Back Inside My HeartJulee Cruise

A track from the debut album “Floating Into The Night” by the songstress from the mystery drama “Twin Peaks,” which became a social phenomenon.
Her melting, laid-back, and mysterious vocals captivated many viewers at the time.
