[2026] A Collection of Western Songs for Dinner [Stylish BGM] (61–70)
Love, Love, LoveDonny Hathaway

Singer-songwriter Donny Hathaway, who, along with Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, made major contributions to the Neo Soul boom of the 1970s.
Unusually for a Black artist of that era, he came from an upper-middle-class background and studied classical music from a young age.
Perhaps because of that experience, his musicality stands apart from other Neo Soul singers.
Love, Love, Love is one of his tracks I especially recommend for lunchtime.
It’s crafted as an exceptionally smooth piece of Neo Soul and, as the title suggests, it overflows with euphoria throughout.
If you want to enjoy a fun, relaxed lunch, be sure to add it to your playlist.
Red Light ft. Snoop LionEddie Murphy

Snoop Dogg is a rapper who represents the West Coast.
For a period, he performed under the name Snoop Lion as a reggae deejay, and this track, “Red Light ft.
Snoop Lion,” is from that era.
On this song, Snoop comes across less as a deejay and more like a singjay, offering a rare chance to enjoy his vocals.
Surprisingly smooth and soulful, his singing is perfect for a hot summer lunch.
If you’re the type who wants to work up a sweat and scarf down a cup of instant noodles, this is a must-check release.
Black GoldEsperanza Spalding

Esperanza Spalding is an artist who has gained popularity as a jazz singer.
She is also active as a jazz bassist, and her broad, sophisticated musicality is loved by many listeners.
One of her signature songs is “Black Gold,” a profoundly insightful work themed around Black culture in the United States.
With its gentle, groovy, and blissful tone throughout, it’s a perfect track for a relaxed lunchtime.
I Know You KnowEsperanza Spalding

“I Know You Know” by Esperanza Spalding, who is highly acclaimed both as a bassist and as a vocalist.
Her bright, clear singing and the warm, rounded tone of the bass are wonderful.
It feels like a song that would make for a pleasant mood and an enjoyable meal.
Night LightsGerry Mulligan

Among restaurants, this is the jazz track you’ll want to hear at a calm, night-view spot! It’s often called a cool jazz classic, and just like the title suggests, it’s a piece that perfectly suits nighttime neon.
It’s the best song for enjoying a relaxed, grown-up atmosphere!
Moonlight SerenadeGlenn Miller & His Orchestra

This song, which can be considered one of the signature pieces of the Glenn Miller Orchestra, is a beautiful slow-tempo ballad.
Just listening to it makes you feel as if you’ve time-traveled into the world of a black-and-white film, and it might let you enjoy a dinner time reminiscent of the good old days.
The delicate clarinet solo also enhances the atmosphere.
Dusk You & MeGroove Armada

A techno duo from the UK formed in 1994.
They’re known for live performances featuring a full band and enjoy strong popularity as one of the quintessential Big Beat groups.
In Japan, despite their international fame, they were long regarded as “the last major dance act yet to visit,” as a Japan tour proved elusive for some time.
Here, I’d like to introduce a track from their second album, Vertigo, released in 1999, which served as their breakthrough.
While the big hit I See You Baby is the best-known song from this album, this particular track showcases their quieter side, with a gentle, electronica-like vibe—perfect as bedroom background music!
