OutKast is a hip-hop duo consisting of André 3000 and Big Boi.
They’re from Atlanta and primarily represent Southern rap.
Within that, their style is known as Dirty South, which evokes a pastoral, down-home vibe.
One of OutKast’s classic tracks is Hey Ya! While the song incorporates pop elements, the lyrics reflect the distinct speech patterns and values characteristic of the South Side.
