Calm DownRema, Selena Gomez

Rema, a Nigerian rapper known as the “Afropop Prince,” is one of the pioneers of Afrobeats, a music genre with roots in Africa.
His collaboration with popular singer Selena Gomez, “Calm Down,” is a song I highly recommend as a duet when you go to karaoke with a mixed group.
Since it has many rap-like and spoken-style vocal parts, even those who aren’t confident in their singing can enjoy it without worry!
This HellRina Sawayama

Rina Sawayama is a singer-songwriter from Japan.
She made headlines for holding her first Japan tour in 2023.
Speaking of her signature songs, it has to be “This Hell.” It’s crafted as an empowering anthem that portrays a woman standing up to an unjust world.
That makes it perfect for anyone who wants to sing a song with a bold, passionate message.
Overall, it’s up-tempo and stays in a high register, but since many of the same phrases repeat, the lyrics are relatively easy to memorize.
Don’t Wait UpShakira

Shakira, a singer-songwriter from Colombia who is beloved worldwide as an icon of Latin music, has been active at the forefront for many years and continued to produce various hit songs in 2021.
Of her works, the one I especially recommend is “Don’t Wait Up,” released in June 2021.
It’s dance music rooted in deep house, combining a danceable sound with a highly stylish vibe.
Gimme LoveSia

Australian singer-songwriter Sia released “Gimme Love” as the lead single from her album Reasonable Woman.
It’s a ballad with an operatic feel that showcases her high-register vocals.
The song portrays the pull of attraction toward someone and the struggle to hold those feelings back.
If you’re comfortable with higher keys, you’ll be able to show off your abilities to the fullest.
JadedSpiritbox

Spiritbox is a Canadian heavy metal band.
Their lead single from the EP “The Fear of Fear” is “Jaded.” The song stands out for a structure that intensifies as it heads into the chorus.
There are parts where the vocals are delivered in a shout-like style, which is a key feature.
It’s fairly difficult to sing, but if you can pull it off, it’s really cool.
By the way, there are two shouting sections, and the one in the latter half is quite long.

UH OH! feat. BENEESub Urban

Sub Urban is an artist who achieved an explosive breakthrough thanks to TikTok.
If you use TikTok, you’ve probably heard his songs at least once.
His musical style is known as dark pop, and as the name suggests, he excels at blending dark, gothic melodies into pop music.
“UH OH! feat.
BENEE” also falls into the dark pop category, but since the tempo isn’t fast, I think it’s relatively easy to sing.
It’s recommended for those who want to project a cool vibe with a dark atmosphere.
LandminesSUM41

Wouldn’t it be cool to be able to sing intense punk rock? That’s why I want to introduce “Landmines.” It’s a track released by the Canadian rock band Sum 41.
Set to a fast-paced, guitar-driven sound, the song’s lyrics deal with regret and inner conflict.
It also features choruses, so it’s the kind of song you can enjoy having others join in on.
Plus, it sits in a lower register overall, making it a good choice for those who struggle with high-key songs.
