A compilation of Western songs with titles starting with 'P'
In this article, I’ll be introducing classic Western songs whose titles start with the letter “P.” When you think of English words that begin with “P,” terms like “Peace,” “Party,” and “Picture” come to mind—some of you might already be thinking of a few songs just from seeing those words.
I don’t think many of us have had the chance to specifically seek out and listen only to songs that start with a particular letter.
But looking at them this way might help you discover tracks you didn’t know or lead to new findings.
I’d be delighted if this becomes an opportunity for you to encounter some new music.

Pondeggi (feat. E Wata)Yaeji

As a Korean American artist based in New York with a global presence, Yaeji delivers an experimental track inspired by hand-play songs, featuring a memorable handclap rhythm and a title referencing traditional Korean street food.
Created in collaboration with E.
Wata, the song is paired with a music video by filmmaker Andrew Thomas Huang, co-starring Korean actress Uhm Jung-hwa, which tells the story of a techno witch trying to prevent a silkworm’s metamorphosis.
Since its release in March 2025, it has garnered high praise from music outlets like Pitchfork and DJ Mag.
Skillfully blending house music and hip-hop, its distinctive sound appeals to everyone from dance-music fans to listeners of experimental electronic music.
PetroleumYard Act

Yard Act is a UK-based rock band that has gained a strong following in Japan as well.
From their second album, “Where’s My Utopia?”, I’d like to introduce the track “Petroleum.” The song was inspired by an incident at a live venue and is crafted like a message sung directly to the audience.
It’s great how it conveys the band’s stance and passion.
Also, don’t miss the music video featuring Rose Matafeo.
Pop My ShitYo Gotti

Yo Gotti is a rapper from Memphis, USA, and a popular artist who has landed in the Billboard Top 10 multiple times.
In August 2023, he released the music video for “Pop My Shit” on YouTube, a track from his mixtape I Showed U So, which had dropped in April of the same year.
The video shows Yo Gotti, decked out in lavish accessories, cruising the streets in a luxury car, and it racked up over one million views in about a month.
Parade on Cleveland (feat. Drake)Young Thug

Known for his ultra-unique, often called eccentric style, Young Thug has gained popularity by presenting an unorthodox musical approach as a rapper and is also recognized as a fashion icon.
His third album, “Business Is Business,” released in 2023, reached No.
2 on the U.S.
charts, underscoring his continued presence.
The track “Parade on Cleveland” is the opening number on that album.
Featuring Drake, it stands out with a calm, R&B-tinged beat over which Drake delivers melodies, and before Thug’s verse begins, there’s a distinctive audio clip of a phone call from Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
It’s also noteworthy that the immensely popular hitmaker Metro Boomin participated as a producer.
Pieces of GoldZiggy Katz

Pieces of Gold is the song performed in a live-stream scene by Ziggy, a high schooler played by Finn Wolfhard—born in 2002 and active not only as an actor but also in a band since his teens—in Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut feature, When You Finish Saving the World.
The track is presented as an original written by the character himself, and it really feels like something that could exist—lo-fi, bedroom-pop vibes and all.
Given that Finn is a musician in his own right, it’s an easy recommendation for indie pop fans too!
