A compilation of Western songs with titles starting with 'P'
In this article, I’ll be introducing classic Western songs whose titles start with the letter “P.” When you think of English words that begin with “P,” terms like “Peace,” “Party,” and “Picture” come to mind—some of you might already be thinking of a few songs just from seeing those words.
I don’t think many of us have had the chance to specifically seek out and listen only to songs that start with a particular letter.
But looking at them this way might help you discover tracks you didn’t know or lead to new findings.
I’d be delighted if this becomes an opportunity for you to encounter some new music.

Play This At My FuneralXzibit

Xzibit, the American rapper and actor, released the lead single from his first album in 13 years, Kingmaker, in October 2024.
Centered on a self-reflective theme that looks back on his life and career, the work leaves a strong impression of his “comeback.” Laid over heavyweight hip-hop beats, the lyrics carry a serious, cinematic mood, expressing the battles he’s faced throughout his career and his determination for future success.
Energetic and motivating, this release marks the beginning of a new chapter for both fans and Xzibit himself.
A must-listen for hip-hop fans.
Praise Jah in the MoonlightYG Marley

YG Marley is a singer from the United States.
The grandson of reggae king Bob Marley and son of Rohan Marley, he’s drawing attention as a new-generation artist carrying on his family’s musical legacy.
His debut single, Praise Jah in the Moonlight, introduced here, is a spiritual collaboration with his mother, Lauryn Hill, featuring a vocal sample from Bob Marley’s song Crisis.
Upon release, it swept charts around the world, hitting No.
1 in New Zealand and reaching the top five in the UK, among other successes.
The track is also popular on TikTok, where it’s often used in dance videos featuring laid-back, stepping styles.
Pondeggi (feat. E Wata)Yaeji

As a Korean American artist based in New York with a global presence, Yaeji delivers an experimental track inspired by hand-play songs, featuring a memorable handclap rhythm and a title referencing traditional Korean street food.
Created in collaboration with E.
Wata, the song is paired with a music video by filmmaker Andrew Thomas Huang, co-starring Korean actress Uhm Jung-hwa, which tells the story of a techno witch trying to prevent a silkworm’s metamorphosis.
Since its release in March 2025, it has garnered high praise from music outlets like Pitchfork and DJ Mag.
Skillfully blending house music and hip-hop, its distinctive sound appeals to everyone from dance-music fans to listeners of experimental electronic music.
PetroleumYard Act

Yard Act is a UK-based rock band that has gained a strong following in Japan as well.
From their second album, “Where’s My Utopia?”, I’d like to introduce the track “Petroleum.” The song was inspired by an incident at a live venue and is crafted like a message sung directly to the audience.
It’s great how it conveys the band’s stance and passion.
Also, don’t miss the music video featuring Rose Matafeo.
Pop My ShitYo Gotti

Yo Gotti is a rapper from Memphis, USA, and a popular artist who has landed in the Billboard Top 10 multiple times.
In August 2023, he released the music video for “Pop My Shit” on YouTube, a track from his mixtape I Showed U So, which had dropped in April of the same year.
The video shows Yo Gotti, decked out in lavish accessories, cruising the streets in a luxury car, and it racked up over one million views in about a month.
