Jumpin’ Jack FlashThe Rolling Stones

Jumpin' Jack FlashThe Rolling Stones

A powerful blues-rock number depicting a protagonist born amid a storm of flying bullets and raised by a toothless old woman.

Marking the turning point that made The Rolling Stones a band representing the UK, this work was released in May 1968 and signaled a shift from psychedelia to blues rock.

It features Keith Richards’s innovative acoustic guitar sound and the intense rhythm and brisk tempo driven by Mick Jagger’s commanding vocals.

In 1986, it was used as the theme song for a film starring Whoopi Goldberg, and in 2012 it appeared in a Fuji TV drama.

Carrying a message of facing forward and living boldly despite adversity, this is a track you’ll want to play when you need a boost.

SpainAl Jarreau

This is a live performance of the genius vocalist Al Jarreau, born in Jamaica, singing Chick Corea’s classic “Spain.” On piano is Joe Sample, on bass Freddie Washington, and on drums Steve Gadd.

You could say without exaggeration that this was the best lineup of the time.

Some parts may sound like odd meter, but it’s in 4/4.

It would be almost sinful to say it doesn’t groove—no wonder the audience is shouting.

The drum solo is a must-see!

All you have to do is ride the rhythm and let your body move.

Since this song has been used many times as TV background music and in commercials, I think many people have heard it.

Katy Perry has a background in gospel music from her teens, so her vocals are both delicate and very powerful—truly memorable.

We can’t take our eyes off her future activities!

Katy Perry, a global songstress who’s hugely popular in Japan, released “Never Really Over” in 2019—a perfect pop song to lift your spirits when you’re feeling down.

Its shimmering sound, influenced by the tropical house subgenre of EDM, is captivating.

With its crisp rhythm, it’s an irresistibly upbeat track that makes you want to dance.
