VIDEO CRASHTyree

There are many different styles of Chicago house, but this is a classic that leans toward the crazy ghetto house sound and later connects to ghetto tech.
Its hallmark is a thunderbolt-like synth that crashes in like sound effects.
It was produced by Tyree Cooper, a central figure who sparked the hip-house movement that exploded in the early ’90s.
This track has a notorious backstory: DJ Funk, a pioneer of ghetto tech who lived next door at the time, copied the entire track data and released the same song.
Incidentally, the later release “VIDEO CRASH” is labeled as the original.
ViennaUltravox

Characterized by its grand synthesizer sound and Midge Ure’s emotional vocals, this classic track portrays a fragile yet passionate romance set against the backdrop of Cold War–era Vienna.
Released in October 1980, it reached No.
2 on the UK Singles Chart.
Its visually rich music video, evocative of the film The Third Man, also drew attention.
Blending the darkness of post-punk with the grandeur of classical music, it has a unique atmosphere that makes you want to listen while walking through the city at night.
It’s a recommended song for those feeling the end of a romance or a sense of loss.
Virtual Luv feat. tofubeatsVaVa

VaVa is drawing attention as a rising artist on SUMMIT, the hip-hop label also known for PUNPEE.
Here’s “Virtual Luv,” his collaboration with tofubeats, who can be considered one of VaVa’s musical roots.
In the track, tofubeats even sings the melody from his own song “Fumetsu no Kokoro,” adding a playful touch throughout.

Quietly, deeply moved, you can’t help but murmur, “Ah, what a cool band…”—that’s The Velvet Underground.
I’m sure many will read this, nod, and relate.
The underground scene in New York in the ’70s—seen from distant Japan—was a world we longed for.
It was the ultimate, the most stylish of all.
VIGILANTESWARGASM

The new single from WARGASM, the electro-punk duo based in London, UK, dropping in April 2025, is a hard-hitting killer tune that masterfully fuses punk rock and nu metal.
Over aggressive riffs and electronic beats, the emotionally charged twin vocals of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way intertwine, powerfully expressing frustration and anger toward modern society.
This highly anticipated release follows their album Venom, which reached No.
19 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.
It’s a track that encapsulates the duo’s true prowess—winners of Best Single at the Heavy Music Awards in 2023—and is highly recommended for those drawn to edgy sounds and strong messages.
Viper FlatsWitchman

Witchman is the stage name of musician John Roome from Birmingham, UK.
His track Viper Flats is included on the 1998 studio album Explorimenting Beats, and its appeal lies in its multilayered drum sound that’s more than just fast.
Witchman is also known for contributing music to various TV dramas and films; you can hear his tracks in popular series in Japan such as Cold Case, CSI: Miami, and CSI: NY.
Vibe With You ft. Ty Dolla $ignYG, Mozzy

One of the most popular collaborations in today’s hip-hop scene, YG and Mozzy have released multiple projects, and their popularity since the start of this year is at an all-time high, earning them tons of props.
One of their new tracks is “Vibe With You ft.
Ty Dolla $ign.” Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, known for his high-level musical sensibilities, the song delivers a stylish, R&B-based vibe.
It’s an incredibly well-crafted track—my top recommendation!
