A collection of Western songs with titles starting with “X”

In this article, I’ll be introducing a bunch of Western songs with titles that start with “X.” It’s not every day that we listen to playlists built around a single initial, but that’s exactly why you might stumble upon songs you’ve never known before and make some new discoveries.

There aren’t actually that many English words that begin with “X.” However, when it comes to song titles, there are quite a lot.

I’ve picked tracks regardless of era or genre, so enjoy seeing what’s out there!

XaviSnarky Puppy

Snarky Puppy is a funk group known for its rotating lineup of over 30 members and for winning numerous awards, including Grammys.

They are one of the most famous bands in fusion.

Their track “Xavi” features a passionate rhythm and introduces many melody-carrying instruments.

Even at just under ten minutes, it’s a stunning number that never loses your attention.

X-RaySub Focus

In 2005, a groundbreaking drum and bass track was released on the prestigious label RAM Records, led by the genre’s charismatic DJ, Andy C.

Titled “X-Ray,” this single by Sub Focus—a DJ and producer primarily known for drum and bass—soared to No.

1 on the UK dance chart and became the track that put his name on the map.

It’s a pivotal song in tracing the career of Sub Focus, who would later rise to stardom within the drum and bass scene, and it’s no exaggeration to call it one of the defining tracks of 2000s drum and bass.

While the distinctive snare sound of “X-Ray” is especially memorable, you’ll immediately understand upon listening that this is a floor-focused, anthemic tune.

The moment it drops, the dance floor is guaranteed to descend into glorious chaos.

XXzibit

This hip-hop classic by Xzibit delivers a refined track feel where classical talent shines and a smart lyrical approach makes for an infectious, upbeat result.

Overflowing with an upper, energetic appeal, it’s a high-spirited piece that’s perfect for summer.
