King Cream Soda’s “Terukuni Shrine’s Kumade,” which was used as the opening theme for the anime Yo-kai Watch.

“Terukuni Shrine’s Kumade” refers to a real shrine located in Terukunichō, Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, and the lyrics also weave in local landmarks from Kagoshima City, such as “Shiroyama” and “Tenmonkan.” The combination of a high-velocity, anime-style sound with lyrics steeped in a local vibe is delightfully quirky.
