It was released in 2005 as Midori Oka’s debut single as an enka singer.
Her outfits—unusual for an enka performer—featured bare-midriff looks and miniskirts, which drew attention beyond just the music.
In 2017, she fulfilled a long-held ambition by making her first appearance at the 68th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen.

It was released in 2001 as Maiko Kozakura’s debut single.
The song is set in Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture, and was chosen as the original song for the NHK Akita Broadcasting Station’s 70th anniversary.
