ENTH (Ensu)
ENTH, a three-piece melodic punk band from Nagoya.
They even took the stage at Ushiwaka during Kyoto Daisakusen 2017, livening up the venue.
Perhaps more and more people have heard the name by now?
They’re a melodic hardcore band following in the footsteps of 04 Limited Sazabys, and I think their popularity really comes from their classic, straightforward melodies and lyrics.
If you like melodic hardcore, you’ll instantly go, “Ah, I love this.”
I’m also a fan of melodic hardcore, and the song that made me a fan of ENTH is SNAP.
A much-anticipated melodic hardcore/punk band whose future success is highly anticipated!

The first track is SNAP! (I couldn’t find a video….)

postman
Guitar rock band postman from Nagoya.
What a good song.
My very first reaction was exactly this.
A song by Postman whose weapon is an incredibly translucent, clear voice.
It feels like BUMP, like flumpool, then—no, that's not it.
A song that feels new after coming full circle.
They're a band whose voice and lyrics—something that can only be sung right now—really hit me hard.
Triple Peperoncino
Triple Peperoncino is a three-piece melodic hardcore band with male and female twin vocals from Nagoya.
Commonly known as Tripepe.
A band that has also performed at circuit events such as Dera Rock and GOLD RUSH, steadily increasing its recognition.
Anyway, Misuzu-san’s voice as the bass vocalist is just too cute.
However, they are not just cute—the band's performance precision is also quite high.
This is one band that looks set to skyrocket, so keep an eye on them!

ONE SHOT LIGHT (One-Shot Light)
ONE SHOT LIGHT, a pop-punk band from Nagoya.
When I first listened to it, even though it was pop punk, for some reason it gave me a feel of overseas easycore.
No wonder—the exhilarating rhythm is said to be influenced by overseas artists.
The pop-punk melodies and optimistic lyrics are ONE SHOT LIGHT’s defining features.
The songs by ONE SHOT LIGHT, steadily spreading out from Nagoya, are all ones you really should listen to at least once!
MERRY CLAP HOUSE
Nagoya-based melodic hardcore band, MERRY CLAP HOUSE.
The first song I listened to was a track called “Story.”
It’s a signature song for Merikura, and while it’s classic, it leaves you with an indescribable feeling.

Akenai Yoake is a four-piece alternative rock band active in Aichi.
Somehow, new music has arrived.
Saying “emo” is a bit off…
When I listened to it, I thought, “What a strange/mysterious song.”

Keep an eye on Akenai Yoake’s activities—they seem like the kind that, for those who get into them, you’ll get completely hooked!

The pop-punk band from Nagoya, K!CKS (Kicks).
It's cool how it's punk even though the voice sounds more like rock, a bit different from the voices you often hear in punk.
The kind of voice that makes you want to keep listening—that might be why it's so popular.
