I’ll talk about the appeal of the emotional rock band bacho.
Do you all know the overwhelmingly emotional rock band bacho?
Their raw, unadorned lyrics—like words written to themselves—are utterly rattling.
To commemorate the release of their re-recorded and edited album “Kaitei” on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, I’d like to write, as a fan, about the appeal of the band bacho.
A band called bacho
bacho, formed in 2002 in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture.
A band name that was casually chosen as Ma Chao, picked from the names of military commanders in Romance of the Three Kingdoms that I was reading when I was 18.
Even when the lineup changes or the spelling changes, the songs bacho keeps playing are always consistently striking and take your breath away.
There’s a song that you absolutely can’t leave out when talking about bacho.
That is this song called “Song of Determination.”
Rather than dragging someone down, I want to be the one to give someone a push forward.
Because of that kind of relationship, I want to stay with you forever.

This is the song that made me start liking bacho.
I think you’ll understand if you listen, but I believe there’s something in every word of this song that you can relate to.
For those who have experienced hardship or setbacks, those who are currently running into a wall, and those who are grilling themselves over their own frustrations—bacho sings songs that resonate deep in the hearts of people like you.
bacho’s live show
At bacho’s shows, the crowd is usually about 30% women and 70% men.
Of course we put on a fiery live show, but above all, the audience is just as passionate and doesn’t lose out.
Everyone is singing just as fiercely, raising their fists, going wild, and feeling the music with their whole bodies.
I really like you that way.
Just when you think the MC sounds like some ordinary guy talking, the performance suddenly moves you to tears—you absolutely have to experience it live.
To those who are fighting positively
Many of the songs included on the reissue/edited album “Kaitei” are also frequently performed.
Among them, the song I feel especially attached to and would like to recommend is the third track, “Because.”

Fundamentally, what they sing about tends to be the same, but you can feel the strong passion of Kinya Kitahata, the guitarist-vocalist who writes and composes each song.
They’re really good at singing lyrics that are about as straightforward as it gets.
Because these are words born from honest self-questioning, I believe they resonate deeply in someone’s heart.
