These days, thanks to social media and the like, we’re connected with all kinds of people all the time.

Maybe some of you are finding yourselves wanting to be alone more often.

At times like that, try listening to music and spending some time by yourself.

In this article, we’ll introduce plenty of songs that are perfect for when you want to be alone.

They’re all tracks that can help you reflect on your inner self, so be sure to check them out.

When You Want to Be Alone: Recommended Masterpieces and Popular Songs for Moments of Solitude (21–30)

Atashisyudou

Syudou’s 2023 track “Atashi” is a song that conveys the struggle of living true to yourself.

There are times when you think it’s enough to live unbound, without conforming to others—surrounding yourself with what you love and being free on your own.

But when someone enters that life, or when the notion of being “normal” creeps in, the things that make you who you are start to crumble bit by bit.

Even so, you can feel a kind of tenacity—an insistence on continuing to live authentically, even if it means struggling—coming through both the lyrics and the prickly melody.

It’s a recommended song for those moments when you’re fed up with the stifling environment around you.

EccentricKeyakizaka46

Keyakizaka46 is an idol group loved by a wide range of generations.

One of their hit songs that was also featured as a TV drama theme is “Eccentric.” The title refers to someone whose personality or behavior differs from those around them.

Set to a city-pop-style sound, the song portrays the struggles of people who can’t quite fit in and their journey toward accepting themselves as they are.

Why not check it out along with the music video, which drew attention for its grand, cinematic visuals?

It’s an insert song from the Ghibli anime Spirited Away.

There’s a version sung by Yumi Kimura, but I recommend the instrumental.

Whether you want something to listen to while thinking, the breeze-like flow of the unobtrusive melody slips right in and soothes you.

How about zoning out to it?

The drums and guitar have that classic straight-ahead groove, and it just makes you feel good.

When you’re worn out for whatever reason, give it a listen and I think it’ll lift your spirits.

As for the music video, it’s super colorful, cute, and fun—it really feels like THE Kaela world, so I highly recommend it.
