Humans are classified into four blood types in the ABO system, but dogs are classified by the DEA (Dog Erythrocyte Antigen) system. At present, eight DEA types are recognized, though further research is ongoing. Incidentally, dogs’ blood types are very complex with many patterns, so it’s difficult to judge personality based on blood type the way some people try to do with humans.

Compared to the average cat lifespan of about 15 years, that’s extraordinary. The cat recognized as the longest-lived in history was Creme Puff, who lived with a family in the United States. Monkeys belong to the order of primates and live mainly in tropical regions. Giraffes are the animals with the most horns; both females and males have five. Behind the two obvious ones, there are two small horns, and then one bump-like horn between the eyes. The composition of horns also varies: reindeer have horn-like structures that are bone, rhinos have keratin—that is, densely packed hair—and giraffe horns are bone covered with skin.

Stamping

The behavior of supporting their body with their forelegs and thumping the floor with their hind legs, known as “stamping,” is called “ashi-dan” (foot thump) among rabbit enthusiasts.
