Double-flowered cherry blossom decoration
Here’s how to make a double-flowered cherry blossom (yaezakura) using only tissue paper and chenille stems, without cutters or staplers.
First, divide the tissue paper into four equal pieces, stack two sheets together, and accordion-fold them.
Then fold the strip in half again, trim the corners to create petal shapes, and secure the folded center with a chenille stem.
Finally, gently open up the doubled tissue layers evenly to create a fluffy, voluminous yaezakura.
You can use them for wall decorations, or make wreaths and hanging ornaments with these blossoms.

Cut cardboard to create two frames and use them with a sheet of origami paper sandwiched in between as the base.
For the flowers placed there, cut origami paper into long strips, shape them into petals, and combine them.
Make them in various sizes and colors to brighten up the whole piece.
It’s recommended to finish the frame in a color that complements the flowers, and the key is to emphasize the three-dimensional look of the blossoms.
Rose message stand
Many types of roses bloom from mid-May to early June, and they’re often strongly associated with a sense of glamour.
This craft project lets you capture that glamour by making a rose out of felt and turning it into a message stand.
Cut a slit in the center of a long, narrow piece of felt, tuck one end into the slit to create overall wrinkles, and then roll it up to form the shape of a rose.

Tulips are an essential flower of spring, and landscapes where they bloom beautifully in a variety of colors evoke the excitement of warmer days.
This craft recreates tulip flowers using felt and bundles them together like a bouquet.
Cut felt into shapes that look like open petals, place a strip of felt—cut thin and rolled tightly—at the center, then close the petals around it to form the whole tulip.
Next, arrange the flowers on a Styrofoam ball, attach leaf pieces, and fill in any gaps.
Once everything is snugly packed, your bouquet is complete.
Cherry blossom wall decoration
How about making a cherry blossom wall decoration that looks like an elegant hanging scroll using construction paper? Crafting the cherry blossoms involves some delicate work, but it’s not difficult—take your time and you’ll be fine.
Since you’ll be using scissors for detailed cuts, be careful not to nick your fingertips.
Add a border to black construction paper, then decorate while considering the balance of the cherry blossom petals and other elements.
I recommend arranging and pasting everything however you like.
