Arashi’s Popular Songs | A Complete Showcase from Massive Hits to Hidden Gems! (71–80)

Sketcharashi

This song is truly a rarity.

It was made in 2004 to celebrate the group’s 5th anniversary and was given to only 100 people chosen by lottery.

While it’s been performed on programs like 24-Hour TV and at live shows, only those 100 people own the original disc—how lucky they are.

The lyrics were written by Ninomiya and Sakurai, the music was composed by Sakurai, and the jacket was designed by Matsumoto.

Those who received it have surely made it a family treasure.

If you haven’t heard it yet, be sure to give it a listen.

The theme song for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics 2016, with Sho Sakurai from the group serving as the main newscaster.

Many of you probably remember it, right? Since it was an Olympic theme song, I think the track feels grand in scale.

Resurrection Lovearashi

This song, Fukkatsu LOVE, was one the members asked to be written for them.

The composition and arrangement were provided by Tatsuro Yamashita.

Since the vocals are tailored to each member’s individuality, it’s one of those tracks where you can clearly contrast their distinct voices.

I imagine it’s a very special song for the members as well.

Clockwork Umbrellaarashi

It’s the B-side of the 28th single “My Girl” and the theme song for the drama “Room 0.” It starts with a Western-style intro, then modulates and features Sakurap.

The choreography—evoking a marionette in motion—was created by Ohno.

While feeling bewilderedarashi

This is the 10th single, a song written as the theme for “Yoi Ko no Mikata: Shinmai Hoikushi Monogatari,” starring Sakurai.

It progresses at a slow tempo and has a gentle atmosphere.

Ohno handles the final chorus, and his clear, expansive voice further enhances the song’s softness.

Written and composed by Shikao Suga, this is the ending theme for the film “Honey and Clover,” in which member Sho Sakurai stars.

With lyrics and a melody that evoke youthful memories, it’s a song that also has many music box covers.

It’s highly recommended for solo performances on piano or guitar, too.

Grateful, thrilled, and overwhelmed like a stormarashi

Perhaps this is the song that best conveys feelings of emotion and joy.

It was used as the opening theme for the Fuji TV drama “Namida o Fuite.” With its powerful sense of rhythm and distinctive rap parts, it showcases the wide range of Arashi’s musical style.

Released in November 2000, it reached No.

2 on the Oricon chart and stayed in the rankings for ten weeks.

It has become a staple in Arashi’s live performances and is an important song that expresses their gratitude to fans.

While it can be heard as a love song, it also conveys deep appreciation, such as for family love.

It’s perfect for times when you want to express thanks, and it’s also recommended for those listening to Arashi for the first time.
