List of Artist-Hosted Festivals Nationwide [2026]

There are music festivals all over Japan, but this time we’ve gathered artist-organized festivals from across the country.

Because these festivals are hosted by the artists themselves, you can feel the bonds and connections between artists, as well as their passion for the festivals.

You can enjoy a different atmosphere from ordinary festivals.

Kyoto Prefecture

Kyoto Grand OperationSat 7/4 – Sun 7/5, Kyoto Prefecture

It’s a summer festival hosted by 10-FEET, a three-piece rock band from Kyoto. It began in 2007, but the inaugural event had to be canceled due to a typhoon. However, there’s a saying that festivals canceled by a typhoon in their first year go on to become beloved and popular events… True to that saying, this festival has seen various legends unfold every year—perhaps thanks to the mysterious power of the organizers, the three members of 10-FEET, and all the attendees. The overall atmosphere is known for being warm and friendly among both performers and visitors. It’s an essential event that marks the start of summer in Kyoto.

Inazuma Rock FesShiga Prefecture, Sat 9/19–Mon 9/21

Inazuma Rock, an outdoor rock festival with an uncompromising focus on Shiga Prefecture, organized by Takanori Nishikawa—who hails from Shiga and serves as a Shiga Hometown Tourism Ambassador—has been confirmed for this year as well. Held in an unbeatable setting by Lake Biwa and Mount Hiei, the event mainly features artists connected to Shiga or who have ties with Nishikawa. Part of the venue offers free admission, and there’s even a stage within the free area where you can enjoy live performances! Nishikawa is also known for his engaging talk segments, so it’ll be exciting to see how he fires up the crowd.

This is a music event planned and run by local band members to energize Kagawa Prefecture. Since its start in 2018, it has been held with support from local music lovers, using venues like live houses, shopping arcades, and even rented udon shops.
