Re:Nishiwaki Ayaka

Ayaka Nishiwaki, affectionately known as Chaapon, is the younger sister of Ayaka Nishiwaki—better known as A-chan from Perfume.
The sisters also work together, hosting a radio show called “A-chan and Chaapon’s West Side Story.” Her occasional Hiroshima dialect intonation is adorably charming! Although activities as 9nine are currently on hiatus, she’s been active solo, appearing on radio programs and in commercials for local Hiroshima companies.

HUSKING BEE is a band fronted by Masafumi Isobe, who hails from Hiroshima.
Isobe is a Hiroshima Carp fan and brims with hometown pride.
Among the works by the group—affectionately known as “Huskin”—is a song titled “8.6,” about August 6th, the day we must never forget when the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.
They have also appeared many times at the annual Hiroshima event “Eight Six.” Although they may give the impression of not speaking much, the energy they unleash live is incredible, and everything comes through in Isobe’s occasionally strained, husky voice.
Be sure to experience their live show in person at least once!
Revolver JunkiesAbe Futoshi / Ueno Koji

Guitarist Abe Futoshi and bassist Ueno Koji are from Hiroshima City, making half of THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT’s members Hiroshima natives.
They debuted in 1996 and, though they sadly disbanded in 2003, their garage rock–based sound and rock ’n’ roll attitude have continued to influence many rock bands.
Their debut and signature track “Sekai no Owari” (“The End of the World”) is an absolute must-listen, so be sure to check it out!
monophobiaMana

Mana, a guitarist from Hiroshima, has continued to exert a revolutionary influence on the visual kei scene.
Beginning in the early 1990s as the guitarist of MALICE MIZER, he shook up the music world with a unique aesthetic that fused Gothic and Baroque elements.
After the band disbanded, he launched his solo project Moi dix Mois, pursuing a darker, heavier sound.
He also established his own brand, Moi-même-Moitié, and is known as a pioneer of Gothic & Lolita fashion.
In 2004, he was invited to Maison & Objet in France, earning high acclaim as a fashion designer as well.
His unwavering pursuit of a singular aesthetic in both music and fashion has garnered a passionate following at home and abroad.
He is highly recommended for those who wish to be captivated by a grand worldview woven from classical elements and heavy sound.
BatonTeraoka Yohito

A singer-songwriter from Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, known for producing the folk duo Yuzu and female singer-songwriter Kana Uemura.
He made his major-label debut as the bassist of the legendary rock band JUN SKY WALKER(S), and is now known for his energetic work as a solo musician, including collaborations with other artists.
Perhaps owing to his profession as a music producer, he’s also known as a serious gear fanatic—his almost obsessive love for equipment is something fellow enthusiasts will no doubt strongly relate to.
A dyed-in-the-wool musician, as evidenced by his constant pursuit of high-quality music.
