Shigeru Okawa, who was active in the chorus group Hi-Fi Set, is from Mie Prefecture.

They released “Sotsugyo Shashin” as their debut single, and it was used as the theme song for the film “Watch with Me: Sotsugyo Shashin.” The song was written by Yumi Arai (Yumi Matsutoya).

Yutaka Yamakawa, who is active as an enka singer, is from Toba City in Mie Prefecture.

He is the younger brother of Ichirō Toba, who is also active as an enka singer.

“America-bashi,” released as his 19th single, was used as the theme song for the fifth series of the TBS daytime drama ‘From the Scene of Life.’

Singer-songwriter Kyozo Nishioka was born in Fuseta, Shima Town, Shima District, Mie Prefecture (now Shima City).

In 2008, his hometown of Shima City hosted the First Kyozo and KURO Music Festival 2008.
