SHE’S is a piano rock band formed in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture.

Ryoma Inoue, who handles vocals, keyboards, and guitar, writes and composes their songs.

The band name comes from an image of a band inspired by a girl he was interested in and her uniquely radiant way of thinking.

Their charm lies in their instantly catchy melodies that make you fall in love after just one listen.

The sound is emotional yet cozy, and Inoue’s warm, friendly-sounding clear voice is wonderful.

TETORA is a three-piece girls band made up of members from Kyoto and Osaka.

With the raw energy they unleash at live houses and lyrics that are almost painfully relatable, they quickly became popular among live-music kids.

Their three-piece sound is emotional, and vocalist Ueno’s slightly husky, fragile-sounding voice—paired with a delivery that grabs you by the collar—captures listeners’ hearts and doesn’t let go.

Be sure to experience their overwhelming live performance in person!

THE DISASTER POINTS, a distinctive presence in Japan’s street punk scene, are characterized by a sound heavily influenced by American street punk and Oi bands.

Since contributing to a compilation CD in 2016, they have been highly active, focusing on live performances.

In 2018, they released the album “Lonesome Road Lullabies,” captivating fans.

Centered around vocalist-guitarist Mr.

Okise, the lineup consists of members who have long been active in the punk scene.

Their music incorporates elements of blues, country, and rock ’n’ roll, and their energetic live performances have earned high praise.

While staying true to the punk spirit, their emphasis on unity with the audience has garnered widespread support.

flumpool is a rock band from Osaka.

They debuted in 2008 with “Hana ni Nare.” Many people probably remember the striking image from the au music service “LISMO,” which the song was tied in with.

Their fresh, soaring sound also carries a certain warmth.

Their hit song “Kimi ni Todoke,” the theme for the film of the same name, remains beloved as both a cheer song and a love song.

In recent years, they’ve overcome various challenges, and it’s exciting to see flumpool moving forward with a stronger core as a band.

Their indie-era classic “Hoshi ni Negai wo” is also a wonderful track—be sure to give it a listen.

The End of Summeraibii karaa

This is a mixed-gender piano rock band formed in February 2016.

After the breakup of Signal Days, the predecessor band formed by vocalist Atsushi Satake, who writes and composes the songs, and former drummer Keisuke Nishikawa, keyboardist Sae Kawaguchi and bassist Nao Seki joined.

With the new drummer Yoshihiro Sakata, the current lineup was set.

The band name plays on the flower language of ivy, meaning “eternal love,” and the meaning of “caller,” as in “originator,” and they sing about “love that never ends.” Lyrics rich in distinctly Japanese seasonal imagery ride atop delicate, crystal-clear melodies that make your heart flutter.

Their nostalgic vibe is lovely, evoking sweet-and-sour memories, and I think they’re a band that stays close to you through your youthful days.

Kyuso Nekokami is a rock band that leaves a mark on listeners with impact and catchy hooks.

Though the members hail from various places—Wakayama, Shizuoka, Hyogo, Osaka, and Ehime—they formed in Hyogo in 2009 around classmates from a light music club, and have continued to base their activities in the Kansai area even after their major-label debut.

Many of their songs take inspiration from things that anger vocalist Seiya Yamasaki, resulting in lyrics packed with impact and easy relatability.

And they’re danceable, too! Their groove and addictive feel make them a truly one-of-a-kind rock band.
