Speaking of THE BOOM, their song “Shima Uta,” released exclusively in Okinawa Prefecture in 1992, was a huge hit.
The following year it was released nationwide, and they appeared on NHK’s Kōhaku Uta Gassen.
The origin of the band’s name is “so that we can always stick to our own music without being swayed by trends.” True to that concept, their music—something only they can create—has been loved widely and for a long time.
