Witch’s cloak

Have you ever wanted to become a witch? If so, try making a witch’s cloak.
What you’ll need are a large colored trash bag, glitter tape, double-sided tape, and so on.
Layer the colored trash bags and cut the hem into a jagged shape to give it a witch-like look.
Thread elastic through the inside and fasten it with double-sided tape to complete the skirt.
Make the top out of a trash bag as well.
Once the main pieces are done, add decorations with glitter tape.
If you also make a magic wand to carry with it, the witchy vibe will be even stronger.
colored glasses

Colored glasses you can make in 5 to 10 minutes.
They’re recommended because you can get creative with the shapes and colors depending on who makes them.
First, draw a glasses frame in any shape you like on thick paper and cut it out.
Apply glue to the back base and attach color film.
Color the front side, punch holes on the outer edges, and attach rubber bands through the holes.
It sounds fun to make different kinds of glasses, dance while wearing them, or use them for pretend play.
Just be careful when using scissors to cut out the base.
Ribbon scrunchie

If you want to make cute props but keep costs down, ribbon scrunchies are a great option.
The method is very simple.
First, buy a hair elastic and some ribbon.
Then just tie about two ribbons onto the hair elastic and you’re done.
If you tie the ribbons so they point to the left and right, it looks even cuter.
You can also create originality by changing the colors of the hair elastic and the ribbons.
You can even style it by wearing several of these ribbon scrunchies on one arm.

Bracelet made with balloon art

Balloon art is often used at celebration parties and events.
It’s characterized by decorations made from multiple inflated balloons.
Among these, the perfect match for the cute dances children perform at school sports days is a bracelet made with balloon art.
By twisting an inflated balloon and wrapping it around, you can form a bow shape.
Adjust the size of the bracelet loop to fit the children’s wrists.
Why not make favorite bracelets together, discussing the color and shape of the bows with the kids?
Pom-pom baton

If you want to add a splash of flair to your sports day dance, how about making a “pom‑pom baton” using simple materials you have at home? With just some newspaper and raffia tape, you can easily make it by hand! Start by making two small pom‑poms the same way you’d make regular ones.
The step where you split the raffia tape is a fun activity to do with your child—it’ll make great memories! Tape the two pom‑poms to both ends of a stack of about 20 sheets of newspaper.
Next, roll up the newspaper to create the handle.
Since it also works like a baton, it will broaden the range of your dance performance! Give it a try for inspiration.
grass skirt

How about using the familiar hula “grass skirt” as a prop for a school sports day dance? Cut plastic raffia tape (suzuran tape) to your child’s waist size to make the base.
Next, tie both ends to prevent the tape from splitting.
To create the skirt strands, wrap suzuran tape around a board or cutting mat as you would when making pom-poms.
Finally, wrap the skirt strands around the base and split the loops to finish! Using it together with pom-pom batons will make the dance even more exciting.
Wristband made with tissue paper

These are wrist accessories made with tissue-paper flowers, a familiar sight in school sports day decorations.
They’re a classic item perfect for dance events at sports festivals.
First, cut thick paper (cardstock) to fit your child’s wrist.
Next, accordion-fold the tissue paper, tie the center with a pipe cleaner or similar, then fluff out the folds to make a flower.
You can attach several tissue-paper flowers to the cardstock, or just one large flower—feel free to get creative! Secure rubber bands to both ends of the cardstock and you’re done.
It would also look great to use different tissue-paper colors for each class or team.
