When asked about bands from Hyogo Prefecture, many people probably think of Sex Machine first.

The band’s biggest appeal is, without a doubt, their attitude toward rock.

Sachi Tainaka is a singer-songwriter from Kakogawa City in Hyogo Prefecture.

With a vocal range spanning three and a half octaves, she excels at catchy vocals that make the most of her wide range.

Above all, her greatest appeal lies in her lyrics.

They aren’t deliberately twisty or complex, but their straightforwardness is exactly what makes them hit home.

She currently performs under the stage name Ayachi Tainaka (written as 彩智), so if you want to follow her future activities, be sure to search under that name.

PuPuPu Land is a rock band formed in Kobe in 2012.

They gained popularity with a distinctive sound that blends alternative rock and indie pop into folk music.

Although the band disbanded after guitarist Atsuto Yoshikawa left, the masterpieces they left behind continue to influence many artists.

In a scene crowded with cookie-cutter bands, they made a powerful impression.

Hopefully, we’ll see new bands emerge with the same kind of individuality.
