HERE COMES ANGER FLARESANGER FLARES

ANGER FLARES, an Oi!/Street Punk band representing the Kansai punk scene, was formed in Kobe in 1999.
Although they disbanded once in 2002, they restarted in 2013.
Their music is characterized by a straightforward, powerful sound and wild vocals.
In 2014, they released the album “REBELS WITH A CAUSE,” delivering a thrilling punk sound.
They have shared the stage with many renowned bands both in Japan and abroad, and in 2023 they joined the legendary UK Oi! punk band COCKNEY REJECTS for all dates of their tour.
They’re highly recommended not only for punk rock fans but also for anyone seeking energetic music.
Baby Leaf

They were a three-piece band active mainly around Kobe.
Unfortunately, they have disbanded.
The video features the lead track from the band’s first mini-album, “When I Wither, It’s When You’re Not Here.” The straightforward guitar rock sound and emotional vocals are enough to bring you to tears.
SUMMER PARADEDEPAPEPE

Guitar duo DEPAPEPE.
Yoshiyasu Tokuoka is from Suma Ward, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, and Takuya Miura is from Nada Ward, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture.
They met while working part-time at Chicken George, a long-standing live music venue in Kobe, and decided to form a duo.
WorldEGG BRAIN

The rock band EGG BRAIN—affectionately known by nicknames like Egg, Eggbre, and EGG—features members JOEY and KUN, who are both from Hyogo Prefecture.
JOEY is half American, and his English pronunciation is highly regarded.
EGG BRAIN’s main draw is their authentic punk rock.
Their aggressive sound, reminiscent of American punk from the 2000s, is energizing just to listen to.
With many songs in English, they’re also recommended for fans of Western music.
What’s Gonna Be?FIVE NEW OLD

FIVE NEW OLD is the kind of band that instantly adds stylish color to your space the moment you press play.
As suggested by their concept “ONE MORE DRIP”—bringing a touch of color to everyday life like aromatic oil—their hallmark is an accessible yet sophisticated sound.
FIVE NEW OLD was also formed in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture.
Kobe continues to produce many distinctive bands, and they are one of the city’s uniquely proud rock acts.
Gero

Gero, whose popularity took off from his activities as a singer on Nico Nico Douga, is from Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture.
His strengths are his passionate vocals and personable character.
The song in the video is his debut single, released in 2013.
It was used as the theme song for the anime BROTHERS CONFLICT.
Rusty NailHEATH

HEATH, the bassist of X JAPAN, is from Amagasaki City in Hyogo Prefecture.
He looks very cool and stylish, but when he talks, he speaks in Kansai dialect and is actually quite funny.
That gap is really appealing, isn’t it? By the way, he uses different stylizations for his name: “heath” for his solo work and “HEATH” when performing with X JAPAN.
