Simple mini party games that get everyone excited (1–10)

What comes to mind when you think of ◯◯?

Speaking of 〇〇, it’s got to be games: [Party games recommended for after-parties and year-end gatherings]
What comes to mind when you think of ◯◯?

A “What comes to mind when you think of ◯◯?” game where everyone names what they think is the most obvious, universal answer—and tries to match with others.

For example, questions like “What’s the classic rice ball filling?” or “What’s a ball sport?” You answer with something common or your personal standard, but the key is to align your answers with the group.

You might think, I like pickled plum for rice balls, but what will everyone else say? That person might write kelp… There’s a psychological element to it, too.

When all the answers line up perfectly, the satisfaction is doubled.

Stand-up game

A recommended mini-game you can enjoy with just your body and no tools is the Stand-Up Game.

Starting from one end, players take turns calling out a number from 0 up to the number of people present.

If the number you call matches the number of people who stand up at that moment, you’re safe and out of the game; the person who remains until the end loses.

It’s fun even with a small group, and with a large group it can be quite challenging.

Since all you do is stand up or sit down, it’s an easy game to enjoy even while drinking or eating.

Drawing game

Snow Man “Drawing from Memory” — has a masterpiece… or a miscreation… been born?!
Drawing game

How about trying a drawing showdown game where how much fun you have depends on whether you’re good at drawing or not? There are several drawing-type games, but the most exciting one is the “draw-from-memory” challenge.

You draw the prompt without looking at photos—relying only on what you remember.

For example, use prompts like beloved national anime characters or star animals from the zoo, such as pandas or elephants.

There’s no winner or loser in this game, but it’s guaranteed to get everyone excited!

Do-Re-Mi Song Game

Viral Hit: Can’t Stop Laughing at the Do-Re-Mi Song Game! lol
Do-Re-Mi Song Game

Many YouTubers have tried it, and every video makes you laugh—the “Do-Re-Mi Song Game.” The first person sings the “Do” part from the Do-Re-Mi song, then picks the next person and tells them which scale degree to sing next.

But it doesn’t have to be “Re”; any scale degree is okay.

You must sing the correct lyric and pitch, then pass it on to the next person—that’s the game.

Just hearing the rules makes you think, “Sounds easy!” but it’s actually pretty hard! Lots of people can manage the assigned scale degree and lyrics, but can’t sing it on the correct pitch… which keeps happening and makes the game hilariously lively.

Telephone game

[Huge Laughter] We tried a telephone game with Grandma and it was so fun we laughed our abs off lol
Telephone game

A game of telephone where you challenge yourselves to see if the phrase first whispered can be passed all the way to the last person without a single word changed.

It’s a classic recreation game enjoyed by both kids and adults.

These days, the mainstream version has players blasting music through earphones and reading lips to pass the message along, but at parties, the simple, traditional style of whispering directly into the next person’s ear might be best.

Making the message longer increases the difficulty and tests your memory—especially when drinks are involved.

There are lots of other variations too, so give them a try!

Guess the caricature game

HiHi Jets [Redraw it!?] Guess whose portrait it is!!
Guess the caricature game

How about trying a guess-the-portrait game you can play with just paper and pen? Everyone draws a portrait of someone else in the group, then you line up all the portraits and try to find and guess which one is yours.

Even if you think your face is distinctive or you have a clear charm point, once lots of drawings are lined up it’s easy to get confused and second-guess yourself.

It’s also fun to reveal the answers and compare, saying things like, “Wait, do I really look like this?”

10-second exact challenge

[Showdown] A Miracle Happened in the 10-Second Stopwatch Challenge lol [Bonbon Academy]
10-second exact challenge

A quick and easy game that’s over in 10 seconds: the “10-Second Perfect Challenge.” As the name suggests, the goal is to hit exactly 10 seconds—stop the stopwatch you’re holding at precisely 10.

If no one gets exactly 10 seconds, the person closest to 10 wins.

It sounds very simple and easy, but for some people, the 10 seconds they feel and the actual 10 seconds are quite different.

With just one stopwatch, everyone can take turns and have fun.

You can also write down each person’s time and make a chart starting from the closest to 10 seconds to make it even more exciting.
