Command Game

[Encore Galore!] Command the class with the teacher’s rec game! A hugely popular “command game” for kids
Command Game

It’s a fast-paced game that tests your listening and split-second decision-making.

The rules are very clear: when someone says, “Command: do X,” you perform the action; if they say only “Do X” without the word “Command,” you must not move.

If you react by mistake, you’re out, so keen observation and concentration are essential.

The teacher’s feints are sure to spark laughter throughout the classroom, creating a fun atmosphere.

Despite the simple rules, timing and rhythm create deep strategic play, and it stays exciting no matter how many times you repeat it.

Move or freeze—the instant you decide determines who wins.

Mozzarella Cheese Game

Mozzarella Cheese Game

The “Mozzarella Cheese Game” is an easy game you can play without any props.

The rules are simple: take turns saying “mozzarella cheese.” However, when it’s your turn, you have to say it with more enthusiasm than the person before you.

If you start off too hyped, it can get exhausting, so it’s best to begin a bit subdued.

That said, there’s also a strategy of deliberately starting with high energy to make it harder for those after you! Try playing it in a place where it’s okay to be loud.

Beast-Hunting Game

Even without any props, this version of ‘Moujuu-gari’ (Wild Beast Hunt) gets everyone excited.

Players form groups with the same number of people as the number of letters in the animal name called out by the leader.

It’s a fun game that helps you learn various animal names while also making you think about how many letters each name has.

You can make it more entertaining by giving a penalty to anyone who can’t join a group, such as having them imitate that animal.

It’s more fun with a larger number of people, but by choosing animals with longer or shorter names, you can vary the difficulty and make it enjoyable even with a smaller group.

Turtle-turtle hop

[Kamepyon] If you're tired of rock-paper-scissors, this is fun too! [Game]
Turtle-turtle hop

This game is great because you can enjoy it with a small group and it doesn’t require any equipment or preparation.

First, choose a leader.

Everyone places one hand on a table, and when the leader says “kame kame pyon,” each person raises one finger.

If you raise the same finger as the leader, you lose.

Some fingers are easier to raise than others, so you might find yourself unintentionally lifting the easy ones.

You could even consider it fingertip training if you try to raise the harder-to-raise fingers.

As for turn-taking, you can switch the leader after three rounds, or move to the next person if no one raises the same finger as the leader.

Majority Game

The Road to “Remote☆Host” No. 1 — Club Venere Edition #42: “Majority Game”
Majority Game

Let’s play by majority vote! Here are some ideas for the “Majority Game.” The Majority Game is a game where the majority is decided by a vote.

While simply voting for your own opinion is fine, the key to this game is that the majority is determined by the group’s vote.

Join in while trying to read what the other players are thinking.

To make it more exciting, you could give a penalty to the person with the fewest points, or a reward to the person with the most points.

Give it a try!

Fruits Basket

[English × Physical Play] 08 Fruit Basket Game
Fruits Basket

Fruit Basket is a familiar game for large-group recreation.

The prompts for this game don’t have to be limited to fruits—you can arrange them in various ways.

For example, if there are many people meeting for the first time, choosing themes that help you learn about each other can spark conversation after the game and be a great icebreaker.

All you need are chairs, so it’s perfect for welcome events or children’s gatherings!

Mr. Wolf, what time is it now?

[Outdoor Play / Childcare] A Big Hit in Mixed-Age Group Care! [Mr. Wolf, What Time Is It?]
Mr. Wolf, what time is it now?

Let’s play tag while enjoying a call-and-response using the phrase, “Mr.

Wolf, what time is it?” First, choose one player to be “It” (the wolf).

The children face the wolf and ask, “Mr.

Wolf, what time is it?” The wolf answers with various times, and if it’s anything other than “3 o’clock,” the children respond, “Phew, thank goodness!” If the wolf says “3 o’clock,” that’s the signal to start chasing.

Run away so you don’t get caught! Whoever gets caught becomes the next wolf.
