peepholeFujimoto Hikari (Akai Kouen)

Hikari Fujimoto is the bassist of the girl band Akai Ko-en, whose members all wore white outfits in their early days.
Her playing style is influenced by the hip-hop and metal she loved listening to as a child, and her sound—marked by heavy use of distortion effects—is especially striking.
She has strong performance skills, having served as a support bassist on Kiro Akiyama’s tour and participated in recordings for various artists.
As a bassist, she cites Seiji Kameda of Tokyo Jihen as an influence.
Love poemFujiwara Misaki (soko ni naru)

Misaki Fujiwara stands out as the bassist of Soko ni Naru, a band that has drawn attention for delivering a technically intricate guitar-rock sound despite being a three-piece.
Her playing combines delicacy with boldness, and she says techniques like tapping are things she only practiced intensely later on when a song required them—showing how hardworking she is.
She also sometimes sings while playing, and her voice is compelling.
Watching her own explanatory videos gives you a sense of her personality as well.
Best RideHISAYO(a flood of circle)

The band a flood of circle was formed in 2006.
HISAYO joined the band in 2010.
She says she chose the bass back in middle school not because she was dying to play it, but because that’s what she ended up picking when she formed a band.
As a bassist, what she pays attention to most is watching and listening carefully.
Just hearing that makes you feel she has a natural, innate sense as a bassist.
Her cool, composed look also exudes charisma.

avocadogokkin (Yonige)

Yonige is a girls’ band from Neyagawa, Osaka.
Their song “Avocado,” included on a 2015 mini-album, has racked up about 20 million views on YouTube.
In 2018, their track “Waraou,” an arrangement of the American folk song “When the Saints Go Marching In,” was featured as the commercial song for au’s Santaro series, drawing significant attention.
Gokkin, the bassist, is the backbone supporting their straightforward guitar-rock sound.
On the band’s official website, she also writes a members-only blog called “Gokkin no Kogoto” (Gokkin’s Little Gripes).
Horoscopeyama moto hikaru (YOASOBI)

Hikaru Yamamoto, who is also known for appearing as a support band member for YOASOBI at the 71st NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen in 2020, has been gaining attention on video platforms since 2018.
Not only as a bassist, but also as a solo artist who sings while playing the bass, her talent has been in the spotlight.
A bassist needs not only to play the bass, but also to have the ability to oversee the entire band, so it seems that a kind of subjectivity with objectivity is also being recognized.
Chasing The Moonwakazaemon (East Of Eden)

Wakazaemon is the bassist for the rock band East Of Eden, formed in 2023.
Many people may also know her from her work as the bassist for Coronanamolemomo, the “second branch” of Maximum the Hormone.
One of her charms is her command of a distinctive left-handed 5-string bass and her powerful slap technique.
In addition to running her own solo project as a singing bassist, she has also served as support bassist for Marty Friedman, making her a highly skilled musician.
POOLHiromi Hirohiro (tricot)
