HighlightMiyamoto Natsuko (MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS)

I’m the bassist and vocalist for MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS.
I also write and compose songs for the band.
My appeal lies in a desolate, expansive bass style and a husky voice that delivers a soaring, resonant singing tone.
dye it whiteMiyoshi Haruna (HaKU)

He’s the bassist of HaKU.
He masterfully plays intricate bass lines that entwine with their unconventional songs.
On stage, he moves and jumps in all directions, showcasing a dazzling performance style.
Despite such intense movement, his hands never falter, revealing a reliable, disciplined side.

If you’re up for itFukuoka Akiko (Chattomonchī)

Akiko Fukuoka, known as the bassist of Chatmonchy.
After the band disbanded in 2018, she moved to Tokushima, where she has been running an event space and providing songs.
In today’s online world, your base of activity can be anywhere, and choosing a place where you feel comfortable is truly wonderful.
In 2023, she began a new chapter as a solo artist.
We can’t take our eyes off her as she embarks on activities that go beyond being just a bassist and begins expressing her own music.
MWatanabe Atsuko (PRINCESS PRINCESS)

PRINCESS PRINCESS was popular during the first girls’ band boom.
Atsuko Watanabe, who supported the dawn of female bassists as the band’s bassist, also serves as the principal of a music vocational school and is dedicated to educating the next generation.
Alongside her work in education, she continues to perform as an active bassist.
It’s said that the band’s reunion was sparked by her reaching out, which feels like a lovely episode that reflects the behind-the-scenes initiative characteristic of a bassist.
UkifuneAkko (GO!GO!7188)

GO!GO!7188, the three-piece rock band that sadly broke up in 2012.
In that band, Akko handled bass and lead vocals, as well as writing lyrics.
Her throbbing bass lines and bold vocals are so cool.
She lives in Kagoshima and is still active in music, and after becoming a mother, she also started creating spaces for children who don’t attend school.
We’re excited to see what Akko, who says forming a band gave her a place where she belonged, will do next.
LET IT DIE(OAO)Nakajima Aiko (VELTPUNCH)

Aiko Nakajima handles bass and vocals for VELTPUNCH and mpjbd.
She’s known for her cool look and clear, translucent singing voice.
Her bass tone is sharp and beautiful; even though it doesn’t push to the front of the mix, it still has a strong presence.
Limit Lovers 2015Senba Satomi (SHOW-YA)

SHOW-YA was one of the groups that led the band boom of the 1980s and was a pioneering all-female hard rock band.
Starting in 1987, they planned and hosted NAON no YAON, an outdoor event featuring only female artists, which helped raise the profile of girls’ bands.
