Bath time fun! Here’s how to make a Rainbow Bubble Machine, perfect for kids who don’t like baths.

First, cut a plastic bottle in half and use a rubber band to cover the wider opening with a baby wipe.

Color the surface of the wipe with water-based markers.

Put some detergent in a tray, then blow through the mouthpiece of the bottle—your rainbow bubble machine is ready! You can substitute with items you have at home.

Instead of a baby wipe, you can use gauze or a dry floor sheet, and you can use bubble solution instead of detergent.

First, cut a plastic bottle in half and use the half with the opening.

Gather one corner of a plastic bag into a rounded tip, then cut off the bag’s handles.

Draw any picture you like on the plastic bag, and firmly tape it to the cut edge of the bottle with vinyl (duct) tape.

Push the plastic bag down into the bottle—now it’s ready.

When you put it in the bath, the plastic bag will pop out with a ‘pop!’ It’s lots of fun.

Bath bombs that are super popular with kids at bath time! With bath bombs, even kids who don’t like baths might be willing to hop in.

Here, we’ll show you an easy and fun way to make bath bombs.

The method is very simple.

Just put your child’s favorite small toys into an ice tray.

Watching the toys emerge as the “ice” melts in the bath is so much fun—highly recommended! Clear bath bombs that show what’s inside can make kids excited to take them out quickly.

Enjoy the time spent choosing which toys to put inside together with your child!

Little Pufferfish Balloon

It’s fun to puff up on its own in the bath! Here’s how to make a “Balloon Pufferfish.” First, cut off the fingers of a vinyl glove with scissors.

Put some vinegar into a fingertip and tie it with a rubber band.

Place the tied fingertip inside a balloon.

Next, add about one spoonful of baking soda into the balloon and close the opening.

Cut the balloon’s mouth into a tail fin shape, and finally draw the pufferfish’s face and spines—that’s it! It’s also a good idea to draw the design before putting anything inside the balloon.

Try brainstorming different ideas with your kids and have fun making not just pufferfish but other creations too.

Water ball

Eco-friendly and reusable! Introducing water balls that will get kids excited.

They’ll make bath time more fun, too.

Since they’re reusable water balloons, you can start water play in no time even when you’re busy! Just fill the silicone balls with water—no tying needed, so it’s super easy.

The magnets prevent leaks, letting kids play to their heart’s content.

Made of silicone, they’re safe for splashy fun.

Perfect to try with kids who aren’t fond of baths!

A picture book to read in the bath

For children who love picture books, we recommend picture books you can read in the bath.

Picture books are usually made of paper, so you can’t take them into the bath, right? But there are special picture books you can bring into the bath, and the pictures even change with the warm bath water! They’re made of vinyl, so even if they get wet, you can easily wipe them off with a towel.

If your child says they don’t want to take a bath because they still want to read more picture books, telling them there’s a picture book they can only enjoy in the bath might make them eager to hop in.

Since these offer a unique way to enjoy picture books that’s different from usual, try using them with kids who don’t like taking baths!
