A kitchen orchestra that plays rhythms using kitchen tools like frying pans, pots, bowls, ladles, and spatulas! Pick your favorite song and tap the arranged tools with perfect timing—“kon!” “kan!”—and the kids will be thrilled.

Their eyes will sparkle at the new possibilities of kitchen utensils.

When you perform, wear an apron and a bandana.

Just when they think you’re about to cook, a concert begins instead! That unexpected twist will be a highlight that livens up the birthday party.

Kids love putting things in a bowl and mixing them, don’t they? So this time, let’s make a birthday cake together.

We’ll use a sketchbook that flips from the top, allowing the illustrations to change along with the story.

There’s a bowl drawn at the bottom, so please add the ingredients—eggs, sugar, flour, butter, and so on—in order to complete the cake.

If everyone does a mixing motion each time you add an ingredient, it really feels like you’re cooking and it’s a lot of fun.

Guess and have fun! Drawing Quiz

This is a quiz where you partially draw pictures on transparent sheets, and when you stack them all together, players guess what the final picture is.

Draw them in order starting from the first sheet, and when you’re done, ask, “What could it be?” It’s a game that helps develop thinking skills while having fun, because you need to consider which part each illustration represents, find possible answers, and compare them.

The illustrations should be motifs that children are very familiar with.

If you’re doing it for a birthday, a present box is a great choice!

Play with balloons! Birthday party

Play with balloons! Birthday party

After asking the children, “What’s everyone’s favorite color?”, we blow up balloons in the colors they mention and play with them.

We draw pictures on the balloons that match each color, and then sing songs related to those pictures.

For example, for a green balloon, draw a frog and sing “Kaeru no Gasshō” (The Frog Chorus).

It’s a fun game where you can look forward to which illustrations will appear and which songs you’ll sing based on the balloon colors.

If you do this at a birthday party, a cake illustration is, of course, a must.

Celebration Song

Celebration Song

What a lovely idea to give a song as a birthday gift.

If you put your feelings for that special someone into a melody, it will surely touch their heart.

It’s great to sing together, and surprising them by performing a song you’ve practiced is also a wonderful option.

Choosing a favorite artist’s song or adding original lyrics will make it even more special.

If you give it along with a present or a bouquet, it’s sure to create a moving moment.

Why not use the power of music to make the birthday even more beautiful? It will surely become an unforgettable memory.

rhythm-based comedy bit

rhythm-based comedy bit

At a birthday party, people might pester you to “Do something!” Wouldn’t it be cool if you could whip out a quick act on the spot? I recommend a rhythm-based bit that also works great as a one-shot gag.

As the name suggests, a rhythm bit is a performance done to a beat.

For example, how about a routine like Joiman’s, famous for their “na-na-na-na~ na-na-na-na~”? It’s a simple format: move your body to the rhythm and perform a rap stringing together unrelated words.

It’s easy for beginners to pick up.

If you work in birthday-related words to the rap, you’ll likely get even more laughs from everyone around you.
