Here’s a bamboo shoot digging game that’s perfect for spring.
All you need are two things: newspaper and paper cups! Roll up the newspaper to make a stick, then attach a paper cup to one end.
Place more paper cups on the table to represent bamboo shoots, and you’re ready to go.
Drawing pictures or adding illustrations to the cups will make it feel even more authentic.
If you cover the “bamboo shoots” with the stick’s cup and lift, they come up surprisingly easily.
Set rules like “the first to collect five wins” to make it exciting.
It’s also a fun way to exercise the arms, elbows, and shoulders, so it’s recommended for senior facilities as well.

Tower game

Saunas have become a big trend lately and are drawing a lot of attention, and likewise, hot springs and public baths are popular across a wide range of ages.
But did you know that not only Japan, but ancient Rome also had a bathing culture? In Thermae Romae, the highlight is an ancient Roman bathhouse architect experiencing culture shock when encountering modern Japanese bathing culture, and reacting with utmost seriousness.
If you enjoy hot springs and public baths, you’ll find it even more entertaining to watch.
Table hockey

Introducing table hockey, a game that’s a blast whether you’re playing with a small group or a larger one.
Since you play seated, anyone can join in.
Cover the table so the ball won’t fall off anywhere except from the two ends.
Make strikers out of cardboard, place the ball in the center of the table, and you’re ready to go! Play to five points—the winner is the one who sends the ball off the opponent’s end of the table.
