Craft band coaster

Here’s an idea for making coasters using craft bands.
Cut eleven beige bands, three caramel-colored bands, and four decorative border braids, all to 11 cm.
Apply double-sided tape to your table and line up seven beige bands vertically on the tape.
The tape is only for temporary holding and will be removed later.
Glue one beige band to each side of the row of seven, then remove the double-sided tape and glue one beige band to each side on the back as well.
Weave the three caramel-colored bands through to create a checkered pattern and glue them in place.
Finally, attach the braids to the top, bottom, left, and right edges on the front, and you’re done! Craft bands come in many colors, so pick your favorites and give it a try.
Transparent cute coaster

How about making transparent coasters that brighten up drink time and submitting them as a craft homework project? Since you’ll be using not only two-part resin but also chemicals, be sure to have a parent or guardian help you when you make them.
Aside from handling the chemicals, it’s basically just decorating the coasters, so even small children can try it with ease.
Enjoy a cold drink with these cool-looking coasters!
My favorite coaster

Let’s make one using an illustration of your favorite character! Here are some ideas for a “oshi” coaster.
Many people have a favorite—whether it’s a character, an artist, a motif, or an idol, right? These coaster ideas are perfect for fans like you.
What you’ll need: paper coasters, coaster covers, an illustration, decorative stickers, ribbon, glue, scissors, and more.
Try adding a mood-boosting coaster to your everyday life with ease!

Fruit cross-section coaster

Brighten up your table with fresh fruit patterns! Here are some ideas for fruit cross-section coasters.
These cute coasters are perfect for summer or whenever you want to add a splash of color to your dining table.
This time, let’s make coasters inspired by the cross-sections of various fruits.
You’ll need coasters, origami paper, washi tape, clear bags, scissors, glue, a compass, and more.
Adjust the types and designs of the origami to match the fruit you want to create.
straw coaster

Straws are familiar to children because they’re also used when drinking juice.
Here, we’ll show you how to make a “straw coaster” using those straws.
Since this craft involves using an iron, young children should make it together with a guardian.
First, cut the straws into small pieces to make lots of parts.
Place a frame of your choice on a sheet of baking paper, and arrange the straw pieces inside the frame.
Once arranged, press down with an iron over the baking paper; when the pieces melt and stick together, it’s done.
Be careful not to let it fall apart when you peel off the paper.
Lacing Coaster

Kids can start as early as preschool! Here are ideas for a lacing coaster that even children who find detailed tasks challenging can enjoy—simple and approachable.
Try making a cozy, handmade lacing coaster.
You’ll need two colors of felt cut into 12 cm squares, a plain fabric cut into a 12 cm square, cardstock cut to the same size, a hole punch, a chalk pencil, scissors, fabric glue, and embroidery thread.
Give it a try!
Pompon Coaster

Let’s make a pom-pom coaster using decorative balls from the 100-yen shop.
Since this craft uses a hot glue gun, children in elementary school or younger should work together with a parent or guardian.
First, use the glue gun to keep attaching the decorative balls in a line to make a long strand.
Then, coil it into a spiral to form the coaster.
It’s simple because all you do is glue the decorative balls together, but please be very careful to avoid burns.
