Handmade Pop-Up Christmas Cards! Simple Yet Amazing Ideas (11–20)
A Christmas card that pops out from a present

We’d like to introduce a Christmas card with an irresistibly cute peekaboo motion.
First, prepare two illustrations to create the part where the character peeks out.
In the video, we use a character, but for Christmas we also recommend trying Santa, a reindeer, or a snowman.
Using a photo of your child would be wonderful, too.
When making the mechanism, the areas where you apply glue and the creases are very important, so be sure to follow the steps carefully as you work.
Add a lovely message to your adorable pop-up Christmas card, and we hope it brings a heartwarming, smile-filled holiday.
Pop-up card with stars jumping out

Let’s make a pop-up card with a captivating mechanism that makes you want to open it again and again! At first glance it looks quite difficult, but each step is actually simple.
The key points are things like the length and shape of the construction paper, and which parts you glue and which parts you don’t, so be sure to check carefully and work through it patiently.
Christmas motifs are great, but using photos or illustrations would also make it look adorable.
Try making one while imagining the smile of the person who’ll receive the card.
Pop-up Poinsettia

When it comes to Christmas flowers, you probably think of the poinsettia with its large red petals.
How about sending a pop-up card featuring those big poinsettia “petals” bursting dynamically off the page to someone special? You can make the petals by folding origami paper into a triangle and cutting it.
Don’t stick to red—mix in checks or pink for a unique look! Create three petals in different sizes, glue them together, and attach them to the card base.
It may look intricate, but it’s surprisingly easy to make, so it’s great for seniors too.
A card with a pop-up tree and wreath

How about making a card packed with surprise elements, where a tree and a wreath pop out the moment you open it? Hearing “pop-up card” might make some people think it’s difficult, but in fact, it’s easy—you just cut a rectangular slit along the center fold.
Attach the motif you want to pop out onto the construction paper with the slit.
Then prepare another sheet of construction paper of the same size without any cuts, and layer it on the outside; this neatly hides the mechanism and gives a clean finish.
It would also be cute to try other motifs like Santa or a snowman.
Give it a try and make a one-of-a-kind original card!
Pop-up card without a pattern

Let’s make a pop-up Christmas tree card that you can complete without a template.
First, prepare a card base in any size you like.
Fold it in half, then glue a piece of patterned origami paper to the inside of the front cover.
Trim off any excess.
Next, cut green construction paper into three strips of different widths.
Flip each strip back and forth as you go, folding a triangle from the edge three times, then trim off the extra parts.
Use those pieces to create three triangles in different sizes, and glue them vertically on the card base to form a tree.
Use brown construction paper for the trunk and round stickers for the ornaments.
Decorate the remaining space as you like, and you’re done!
