As December arrives, you may find more chances to see gingerbread and gingerbread houses fragrant with ginger and cinnamon.

In Europe, it is said that people decorated with gingerbread during the Christmas season to pray for the family’s health and safety.

A card shaped like a gingerbread house made from construction paper would surely delight the recipient.

When you open the card, a cute pop-up gingerbread appears along with a Christmas message.

It’s a heartwarming card for the chilly season.

This is a pop-up card packed with lots of “kawaii,” like colorful trees and snowmen.

First, fold a sheet of white construction paper in half and make step-shaped cuts.

Paste it onto construction paper in your favorite color to create the pop-up tiers.

Next, layer and glue thin strips of colorful paper—like pink and blue—accordion-fold them, and attach them around the edge of the card.

Then make lots of colorful trees and cute snowmen with hats and scarves, and stick them on all over.

Finally, add polka dots and write “Merry Christmas,” and you’re done!

This is a luxurious-looking Christmas card where many flowers of different sizes overlap to form a Christmas tree.

First, let’s make four-petal paper flowers.

Fold a square sheet of colored paper in half, then fold it in half again to make a square one quarter the size.

Fold it once more down the middle into a triangle, and, using the folded edge, cut out a half-heart shape.

When you unfold it, it becomes a four-petal flower.

Make many of these flowers in sizes ranging from small to large, cut a slit in the center of each, and thread them onto a paper made into a rectangular column.

You’ll have a splendid Christmas tree!

A card where a tree and presents pop out

Simple to make and cute, this pop-up card with a tree and presents features a charming tree that pops up when you open the card.

Get some colored construction paper, stickers, colored pens, and scissors ready, and let’s get started.

Lightly sketch the tree on the back of the paper and make the cuts.

When you open the card, fold the tree section into a mountain fold to create a crease.

Attach the presents and stickers, draw some sparkles with colored pens, then glue another sheet of construction paper to the back to finish.

Adding Santa Claus or a reindeer could be cute, too.

Here’s a lovely idea that’s like capturing a snowy scene inside a card.

Fold the card in half, then make slits perpendicular to the fold.

Cut two slits about 2 centimeters apart, then reverse-fold that section to create a pop-up base for attaching parts.

Make a total of three bases.

For the parts, make a Christmas tree, a house with snow on the roof, and a sleigh using colored construction paper of your choice, then attach them to the bases.

Write “Merry Christmas” in the empty space, mount it on a backing sheet, and you’re done!
