Pinecone wreath

This is a Christmas wreath made with pinecones.
The key is combining various sizes to create a natural, soft look.
Use a wire hanger as the wreath base, and repeatedly attach bundles of pinecones—tied together with wire—to the frame.
You can make it solely with pinecones, but layering them over greenery like ivy or holly will accentuate the dark tones of the pinecones.
It could also be interesting to lightly tint the pinecones with paint instead of using them as-is.
To enhance the Christmas feel, I recommend adding red and yellow accents as decorations.
Yarn Ball Wreath

A wreath that showcases decorations made from fluffy yarn balls.
You can get the yarn and base at a 100-yen shop, so it’s great for beginners at handmade crafts.
First, wrap the prepared yarn around your hand, and once you’ve wrapped enough, slip it off your fingers.
Next, wind yarn around the center, then trim and shape it to complete the base of the yarn ball.
You can enjoy various arrangements by changing the type and size of the yarn.
Finally, use a hot glue gun to attach them to the wreath base, and you’re done.
Add Christmas-themed decorations for an even more festive finish.
Wreath made with fresh flowers

Creating authentic wreaths with fresh flowers is also highly recommended.
As examples of materials, we suggest using hydrangea, phylica, wild rose hips, gumi (silverberry), silver cat (silver brunia), and globe amaranth, among others.
There are steps where you’ll use wire, and it requires a fair amount of strength, so be careful not to injure yourself.
A key tip for a clean finish is to thread the wire from top to bottom twice.
Press the materials firmly so they make contact with the work surface, and it will go smoothly!
A round wreath made with construction paper

Let’s make a neat donut-shaped wreath using only paper.
Prepare one rectangular sheet of paper and another rectangular sheet that’s slightly smaller.
On each sheet, make vertical slits at 1 cm intervals, leaving the top and bottom edges uncut, then layer and glue them together.
Next, rub the paper with a thin stick to help it curl, and glue it together.
If you wrap it around a plastic wrap core (or a similar tube), it will curl nicely.
Then shape it into a donut ring and secure it.
Add a hanging jute string or a gold ribbon to finish! Try decorating it with glitter or stickers, too.
Wreath made with paper cups

Christmas wreaths made with paper cups are surprisingly striking despite what the name might suggest, making them a fun project.
Simply prepare paper cups in various colors, each with slits cut into them, and connect them into a ring; the result evokes a wood-like texture, so it’s easy for children to try.
Another nice point is that the colorful base alone looks festive even without additional decorations.
However, since you’ll be using scissors for as many cups as you have, make sure an adult assists when very young children are doing the cutting.
