Cool songs that will be a hit at karaoke (31–40)
VanillaGACKT

It was GACKT’s second single and one of his signature songs.
It’s characterized by sexual, provocative lyrics and a distinctive sound that incorporates ska rhythms.
It reportedly reached No.
4 on the Oricon weekly chart and sold about 250,000 copies.
It might be hard to imagine for people who mainly know songs from the Reiwa era, but GACKT has a very wide vocal range and outstanding singing ability.
In Vanilla, the range spans B2 to C5, so many people actually trying to sing it will probably think, “It’s low and it’s high!” The tempo is fast, and the key modulates in the final chorus, pushing the pitch even higher, so it may be tough to nail on a first try.
Make sure to resonate solidly in your chest so you can sing it powerfully!
FAKE LANDFAKE TYPE.

A super distinctive rap that depicts a theme park where madness and pleasure swirl! If you can pull it off at karaoke, you’ll feel like the true ruler of entertainment.
It’s a 2021 release.
“FAKE LAND” is a song one of my students used to sing, and I was impressed, thinking, “Wow, their diction is so quick!” It really prioritizes rhythm and accent! It’s not pure rap—there are song-like parts too—so even if you’re not confident with rap, I think you can enjoy singing it all the way through.
Of course, I memorized it while teaching lessons as well, so listening repeatedly and singing along is key! If the fast lyrics make it hard to catch the words, I recommend slowing the playback speed on YouTube.
FAKE STYLEFAKE TYPE.

A signature song that could be called the origin of FAKE TYPE., where electroswing collides with ultra-fast rap! If you can nail it at karaoke, you’ll definitely earn the title of Tongue-Twister Monster! There’s no official tie-in, but it went viral on YouTube and Nico Nico Douga, boosting its popularity.
It fuses retro and modern elements, creating a unique world where a swing-jazz-style track is layered with ultra-speed rap and humor.
When singing, you’ll be tested on breath control for the nonstop fast rap, enunciation, sense of rhythm, and lyric memorization.
It’s packed with an enormous number of words, so focus on accents to keep your mouth moving smoothly!
Charisma of ArroganceUNISON SQUARE GARDEN

The opening theme song for the anime “Blue Lock VS.
U-20 JAPAN”! It’s an aggressive track with blistering rock and provocative lyrics that really shine at karaoke.
Speaking of UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, it’s all about Saito’s high tones, right? The key is how effortlessly you can hit those highs and how much you can enjoy singing them.
Since it’s the fast-tempo “Boujaku no Charisma,” breath timing is tricky and your ability to keep steady rhythm will be tested.
There are parts that don’t follow a standard rhythm, so it’s probably best to memorize each melody section.
Make sure to listen closely to the backing instruments and lock in the rhythm!
Ooochie KoochieOoochie Koochie

Ooochie Koochie is a unit formed by Koji Kikkawa and Tamio Okuda.
Their teaming up—two rock musicians who defined an era—drew major attention when they first formed.
Among their songs, the one I especially recommend for men with low voices is GOLD.
It’s not that the song has a particularly narrow range, but because the low register vocals are mixed to be quite loud, it’s a perfect track for bringing out the appeal of a deep voice.

silhouetteKANA-BOON

They’re a Japanese rock band that’s been gaining popularity lately.
Whether it’s the guitar tone, the vocalist’s pop-leaning voice, or the drums, everything is brimming with a sense of speed.
It feels like chugging an ice-cold fizzy drink after working up a big sweat in the summer.
to youMONGOL800

It’s one of the all-time greatest songs by Mongol800 that everyone in their 20s and 30s went crazy for.
The “Anata ni~” part in the chorus is something everyone can sing—and probably harmonize, too.
Even if you’re a bit tone-deaf, you can cover it with the vibe.
A top-notch song.
