Hanging ornaments
If you’re looking to decorate your room for a party, hanging decorations are highly recommended.
Originally, “tsurushi kazari” referred to ornaments used for the Hinamatsuri (Doll’s Festival), but in recent years the term has come to mean hanging decor in general.
Hanging Santa Claus or reindeer ornaments in your room will instantly enhance the Christmas atmosphere.
You can also shorten the strings and use them as ornaments on a Christmas tree, which will look great.
Used as ornaments, they could even make nice gifts.
Origami: Christmas Stockings

Origami is said to be not only fun but also effective as a brain exercise.
Because of that, many people probably enjoy showing off their origami to friends and family.
What I’d like to introduce here is a Christmas stocking made with origami.
While most people fold things like trees, unveiling this stocking is sure to surprise everyone.
The stockings you make look cute on the wall, and it’s also lovely to add a string and turn them into ornaments.
The steps are simple and easy to remember, so try making lots of them!
Angels and wreaths made of paper
Angels and wreaths made of paper—what a lovely craft.
Using white lace paper, you create a delicate angel.
Cutting the hair with scissors lets you enjoy unique, personalized designs.
Attach the angel to an origami holly wreath, and you’ll have an adorable finished wreath.
It’s perfect for Christmas and full of seasonal charm.
Older adults can also enjoy a pleasant time making this, and the fingerwork helps stimulate the brain.
Let’s all have fun crafting together and enjoy a wonderful Christmas!
Snowman made from socks

As a winter-themed craft, I recommend making a snowman out of a sock! Since you don’t use needles or thread, older adults can enjoy crafting safely and with peace of mind.
First, cut a piece of cardboard into a circle and place it at the bottom of the sock, then stuff the sock with cotton and tightly tie the opening with a rubber band.
Next, tie another rubber band around the neck to separate the head and body, and decorate with a ribbon.
Use sticker gems for the eyes and pom-poms for the nose.
If that step is difficult, drawing them with a pen is fine! Adding a hat or scarf will make it even cuter.
It also makes a great gift!
Santa Claus doll

Once December arrives, the anticipation starts to build with all the upcoming events—so exciting, right? Christmas, the biggest event of the year’s end, is something everyone can enjoy regardless of age.
How about making a fun, decorative Santa Claus doll to get ready for Christmas? You can easily make one using a toilet paper roll and items from the dollar store! Just cut the roll and attach felt.
Use craft parts from the dollar store for the eyes and nose.
Add a red Santa hat and a beard, and you’ve got yourself a splendid Santa Claus! If you don’t have felt, construction paper or origami paper works just fine, too.
In conclusion
How was it? We introduced craft ideas to help make December more enjoyable for seniors.
Speaking of December, Christmas is the big event, so there were plenty of crafts that seem perfect for livening up a Christmas party.
Enjoy a fun-filled December and welcome the New Year with a smile!
