Three-dimensional Christmas tree wall

Even if you can’t display a real Christmas tree, this is a lovely idea to brighten up your room.

When you think of Christmas, many people probably picture a tree, right? This time, let’s make a three-dimensional, charming Christmas tree using construction paper.

The materials you’ll need are green construction paper, red construction paper (and other colors if you like), a template, scissors, a stapler, glue, and a ruler.

It’s also fine to choose any colors you like for the construction paper besides green.

Since some steps in making the tree involve small, detailed work, it’s best for children to do this together with a teacher or guardian.

First, fold a paper plate and cut along the crease to divide it into four equal parts.

Tear green origami paper into small pieces, as you would for a collage, and paste them on to represent the leaves of a Christmas tree.

If you layer and attach the paper plate pieces with double-sided tape, you’ll create bumps and add a three-dimensional effect.

Stick on stickers in your favorite colors to light up the tree, then add a star ornament at the top.

Finally, make a trunk with orange origami paper and attach it, and your Christmas tree is complete.

It’s a Christmas craft that uses simple materials but can be made festive with a bit of creativity.

Why not try making a tree together by dividing the process into different steps? The main tasks include crumpling tissue paper, cutting materials, folding and finishing them, and assembling the pieces.

Even a project that might seem time-consuming and difficult for one person can become a meaningful memory when everyone works together to create something.

Let’s make the most of each person’s strengths and complete a dazzling tree that you’ll want to look at forever.

It will surely be a Christmas that stays in your heart.

You can easily make this using simple materials from a 100-yen shop.

First, roughly cut colored construction paper in your favorite colors.

Place a star-shaped template on top of parchment paper and secure it with tape.

Peel off the star together with the tape, then freely stick on the small pieces of the cut paper.

Add another layer of tape over the top, and cut along the star shape with scissors.

Finally, punch a hole and thread a string through it to complete the star ornament.

Using cellophane makes it translucent and more festive in the light, perfect for Christmas trees or wall decorations.

It’s a simple yet eye-catching craft that you can enjoy making with children.

Cute on the wall too! Christmas wreath

Prepare two sheets of origami paper and cut each into four equal squares.

Take each cut piece, fold the top two corners toward the center, then fold it in half by bringing the left and right edges together.

That completes one part; repeat the same steps for the remaining seven pieces.

After that, simply assemble and glue the parts together to form a wreath.

It’s a very simple wreath, so add a ribbon or draw your favorite patterns with a pen to make it more festive.

It would also look cute decorated with a Santa or snowman made from different origami paper.

Christmas tree made with natural materials

If you’ve picked up pinecones, acorns, or twigs from parks or campgrounds, why not arrange them into a Christmas tree? It’s a Christmas craft idea that will excite the kids! The method is super simple: just decorate a triangle-cut piece of cardboard with natural materials and beads using wood glue.

It can look wonderful not only with natural items but also by adding materials like artificial flowers and nuts from the dollar store.

When handling glue, it’s best to use disposable stirrers or popsicle sticks to keep hands clean.

It’s a great idea that lets kids enjoy their own free creativity!

A tree made using straws

As Christmas approaches, the glow of Christmas trees seems to shine even brighter, doesn’t it? For this Christmas tree craft, we’ll use straws and paint to create the tree.

First, paste only the tree trunk/branches onto construction paper.

Then dip the drinking end of a straw into paint and dab it—pon-pon—onto the paper to form the tree.

Using a variety of paint colors will make the tree sparkle even more, so I highly recommend it.

Once the paint is dry, add decorations on top to complete it.

If you use black construction paper, the paint colors will pop and the crafting process will be easier.
