A roundup of unusual transformable guitars from around the world (1–10)
Angel

Speaking of Toshihiko Takamizawa of THE ALFEE, he’s famous for his flashy, custom-shaped ESP guitars.
Among them, the guitar that could be called his signature is the “Angel” series, adorned with angelic carvings.
In this video, an unexpected mishap occurs because of that enormous guitar.
W-shaped guitar

The shred guitarist Michael Angelo is known for using guitars with multiple necks, such as W-shaped and X-shaped models.
It must take considerable training to truly master them, don’t you think? Please enjoy this video showcasing his impressive speed picking.
Cloud Guitar

As for the uniquely shaped guitars Prince favored, the Cloud Guitar is also well-known.
Its distinctive design evokes the image of a cloud.
SUGIZO of LUNA SEA also used a guitar with a similar design for a time.

Distortocaster

This is the Bender Distortocaster, a shocking-looking guitar whose name riffs on the Fender Stratocaster.
It looks as if the Stratocaster itself—and even space-time around it—has been bent out of shape.
Not only the body, but the headstock and neck are curved as far as playability allows, reflecting the designer’s attention to detail.
Doraemon guitar

A compact mini guitar with a built-in speaker.
Its biggest appeal is that you can play it without connecting to an amp.
This guitar features a Doraemon design on such a mini guitar.
There are several versions, but all were limited production.
axe base

It’s not a guitar but a bass: Gene Simmons’s axe-shaped bass from KISS is very famous.
With its bold, punchy design, this unconventional bass holds its own against their outrageous makeup, flashy glittering costumes, and performances that include breathing fire and spitting blood.
Axe

This isn’t a guitar but a bass—the axe-shaped Axe Bass favored by Gene Simmons of KISS.
When you think of KISS, many people probably picture this instrument, right? Its look and performance feel like the very essence of a rock show.
