Simple mask case

During cold and flu season or for those with hay fever, masks are indispensable.
Let’s make a mask case so you can carry your mask cleanly.
First, fold the pocket fabric in half and sew the top and bottom, then stitch it onto the center area of the outer fabric.
Place the lining fabric right sides together with the outer fabric and sew the edge opposite the flap.
On the outer fabric, make a mountain fold 5 mm below the pocket’s stitching line, and fold the seam you just sewed to the inside.
Fold the lining fabric to match the size of the outer fabric and layer them.
Leave a turning opening and sew all around, then turn the piece right side out.
Close the opening and attach a snap button to finish.
Pincushion made from a plastic bottle cap

Here’s how to make a cute pincushion using a plastic bottle cap.
It’s really handy to have a little spot to stick your sewing needles and pins.
You’ll need a plastic bottle cap, fabric scraps, lace, thread, glue, and stuffing.
First, use the bottom of a cup (about 5–7 cm in diameter) to trace a circle onto the fabric, add a seam allowance, cut it out, and stuff it with filling.
Glue fabric around the outside of the bottle cap.
Attach felt to the bottom of the cap, then attach the stuffed cushion piece to the top of the cap to finish.

felt strap

Here’s a strap you can handcraft out of felt in a Disney character-inspired style.
The basic shape is a circle with some variations.
To cut out the circles, draw them directly with a compass as a guide.
After cutting two circles, first create the character’s features using felt and thread.
Once that’s done, sew the two pieces together with a blanket stitch and stuff them with filling.
Be sure to sew in a small tab for attaching the strap at the same time.
When it’s finished, attach hardware from a 100-yen shop or similar, and you’re done.
Stylish ribbon tray

A stylish and cute ribbon tray is perfect for keeping track of tiny items that are easy to lose.
This ribbon tray is made using the bottom of a milk carton.
Decide the height, cut off everything except the bottom section, and snip the corners as well.
Then simply cover it with fabric, but since the corners will be tied with ribbons, attach ribbons to the milk carton at the corners.
The key is to glue over them once more from the top so they won’t come loose.
The bottom is softly padded with quilt batting.
wall shelf

Wall shelves are not only functional; simply displaying small items on them can create a stylish atmosphere, making them attractive as interior decor.
There’s a wide range of options, from simple designs that are easy for beginners to try, to imaginative and unique shapes.
They’re a great DIY project even for first-timers, with no complicated steps.
All you need are wood and L-shaped brackets available at home improvement or 100-yen stores, plus some paint.
If you can’t use screws in a rental, we recommend securing the shelf with pins made for drywall—these leave only tiny holes that are barely noticeable after removal.
Keychains and Accessories

These days, 100-yen shops have an amazing selection of craft parts, don’t they? How about picking up alphabet beads, your favorite beads, and findings to make Korean-style name keychains and accessories? Parents will probably feel nostalgic too—many of them likely made things like this back in the day.
The method is very simple: just thread the beads onto fishing line.
Attach your preferred hardware and you’re done.
If you use stretchy cord, you can make bracelets as well.
You could even make matching ones with your friends.
