Perfect for mealtimes and snack breaks! How about a handmade coaster? You can make it with stone paper clay and mosaic tiles from the 100-yen shop, so it’s easy even for little kids.
Once you spread the clay over the coaster, start arranging the tiles.
Be sure to press the tiles in and level them so the glass you place on top won’t tip over.
The key is simply to make it flat, which is why it’s so easy and casual to create—one of the best parts! Picture the recipient’s smiling face and enjoy crafting with your child!
A photo frame thank-you plaque made with artificial flowersNEW!
@myon_baby_diy Have you decided on Grandparents’ Day yet? Check out my other posts here 👉🏻 @myon_baby_diy ⚠️ Please read the “Notes” too ⚠️ Grandparents’ Day is coming soon 🧓🏻👨🏻🦳 Try making a quick-and-easy “Grandparents’ Day Certificate of Appreciation” with items from the 100-yen shop ☺️🤍 Items used (all from Seria) ・Photo frame (L-size, double-sided type) JAN code: 4947879375302 ・Hard card case (B6 size) JAN code: 4947879512363 ・Artificial flowers of your choice Template paper Scissors Ballpoint pen Double-sided tape Glue Notes ◽️In the video I say to remove the calyx only from the big flowers, but please remove it from the small flowers too 🙇🏻♀️ It’s also easier to stick if you cut off the remaining stem/core after removing the calyx 🌼 ◽️Be careful about which way you insert the board with the flowers ⚠️ Attach the flower board to the side with the thicker wooden frame! ◽️When you cut the card case, you’ll probably get two sheets, but you only need one 🤍 (Cutting it takes some force 🥹) ◽️If you don’t cut the calyxes and protruding cores of the faux flowers thoroughly, inserting the final glass pane will be quite tight…! It’s a lovely, high-quality photo frame that you’d never guess was made entirely from 100-yen shop supplies.
Cut a card case to the size of the frame, and trace the inner edge of the frame onto the card case.
Cut off just the blossom parts of artificial flowers and arrange them inside the line on the card case.
For larger flowers, it’s a good idea to remove the calyx as well.
Once you’ve balanced the colors and sizes and glued everything down, secure it to the frame.
Finish by attaching a printed template to the glass panel.
You can use the template, or make it special with your own message and photo.
Flower glass domeNEW!

This glass dome with flowers looks far more expensive than you’d think for 100-yen materials.
Since it uses artificial flowers, they won’t wilt, so it makes a perfect long-lasting gift.
Trim the artificial flowers to fit the size of the jar.
Make a hole in the center of the cork base of the glass dome; you can easily make it with an awl or any pointed tool.
Apply glue, insert the flowers, and adding a ribbon makes it cute.
Attach a photo near the flowers, write a simple message on the glass, and you’re done.
It’s very easy to make, so give it a try!
Glittery Shaka BookmarkNEW!

How about a handmade bookmark to make reading time even more enjoyable? You can make it in just five minutes, so even those who aren’t confident with crafts can try it with ease.
Cut a clear file folder to 15 cm long and 5 cm wide.
Cut out a photo you like, apply double-sided tape or tape glue to the front, and fix it to the inside of the clear folder.
On the other side, write a message.
Apply double-sided tape or tape glue along the edges, put some sequins inside, and seal it shut.
Punch a hole and thread a ribbon through to finish.
Try putting in photos of your grandchildren or great-grandchildren and gifting it to an older adult.
You’re sure to be rewarded with a wonderful smile.
balloon bouquetNEW!

A balloon bouquet that never withers and needs no care is a perfect gift for seniors.
Apply strong double-sided tape to 10 cm and 20 cm tulle ribbons, then roll them up to create cute flowers.
Insert the flowers through the opening of the special clear balloon.
If the opening is small and hard to use, make a small slit with scissors and open it up.
Inflate the balloon, add wrapping, tie a ribbon, and it’s done.
Give it a try!
Glasses stand with photo frameNEW!

A handmade gift you’ll want to give to seniors who wear glasses daily: a glasses stand.
You can display a photo in the photo frame section, so it’s nice to be able to look at a cherished memory anytime.
Tilt the V-shaped photo frame and attach the wavy parts with glue.
It’s also a good idea to add them where the glasses rest to act as stoppers.
Decorating with alphabet stickers and the like makes it lovely.
Insert a message card and a memorable photo, and present it to someone special.
Small bouquetNEW!

A stylish gift that blends beautifully with your interior.
Place a photo or portrait in a perfume-shaped container you can buy at a 100-yen shop.
Spread clay over the top, then poke in small, round pieces of tissue paper one by one.
Use a pointed chopstick or similar tool and press gently so you don’t tear the paper.
If you spritz on perfume or aroma spray, you can enjoy a pleasant scent as well.
It’s a lovely gift that looks like it’s packed with a tiny bouquet—an idea that’ll bring a smile every time you glance at the photo full of memories.
Handprint and footprint keychainNEW!

Keychains featuring tiny handprints and footprints are a soothing, highly recommended gift for seniors.
They’re a lovely way to enjoy watching your grandchildren or great-grandchildren grow.
Gather shrink plastic, acrylic paint, and a keychain, and let’s get started! Paint the soles or palms and press them onto the shrink plastic to capture the print.
The key is to punch a hole before heating.
Place it on parchment paper and bake in a toaster oven; while it’s still hot, press it flat from above—and it’s done.
A keychain that brings a smile every time it reminds them of their grandchild—why not give this heartfelt gift to someone special?
Original pen standNEW!

An original double-layered pen stand that lets you insert photos or illustrations inside makes a great gift for seniors.
You can buy one at a 100-yen shop, so give it a try.
Remove the lid, place a sheet of paper with a message or illustration inside, then close the lid.
It also looks lovely if you cut out and insert memorable photos or decorate it with stickers.
When giving it as a gift, filling it with sweets or stick-type tea or coffee is likely to be well received.
Skeleton BouquetNEW!

A lovely skeleton bouquet with a beautiful translucent look.
It doesn’t take up much space, is easy to display, and blends nicely with your interior—those are the key selling points.
Place your photo on a laminating film and rub over it with a ruler from the top.
Soak it in lukewarm water for about 5 minutes, rub off the photo portion, and once it’s dry, apply the film.
Cut it into your preferred shapes and stick them onto a photo frame.
After adding transparent flower stickers, use a pen to draw stems and write a message.
Decorate with ribbons and pearls to complete a one-of-a-kind bouquet! This photoframe looks so refined you wouldn’t believe it’s handmade—perfect as a gift, don’t you think?
